Wine Wednesday Another superb shave with Fireside. The lather and post shave feel are second to none. It whips up easily and provides a measurably smoother shave. Three passes with my Futur and a Voskhod leaves me with a drama free BBS. I may try a feather blade next to really test this slickness. I finished up with my favorite menthol aftershave: Krampert's Finest Frostbite, because my refill came in yesterday. I ran out a while ago, so it's return was more than welcome. Prep: PAA Ice Soap: B&M Fireside Brush: Brothers Bristles Spartan Bronze Razor: Der Futur Blade: Voskhod (3) AS: Krampert's Finest Frostbite
12/30/15 - Change of plans I posted a planned shave for today last night, but was inspired just as I finished up to grab up the bottle of vintage Seaforth Spiced cologne/aftershave and thus had to take another photo! Prep: Hot shower Lather: Route 66 Lumberjack Brush: Omega 10066 Mug: vintage Seaforth (soaking only) Razor: Weber PH Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux (2) Post: Seaforth Spiced I received both the mug and the cologne last year for Christmas. I use the mug every time I need to soak a brush and have used the cologne a few times. I like the way it smells and really love the nostalgic appearance and feel of the heavy glass bottle and mug.

SOTD December 30, 2015 Pre: Warm shower Blade: Rapira Supersteel Razor: Wet Shave Club 3-piece Brush: Trader Joes synthetic Lather: Traders Joes Shave Soap (sandalwood) Post: Witch hazel splash, Speick, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, ATG, touch-up Using items from A Close Shave Kit from Trader Joes. I started this shave as a cold water shave, but then the Trader Joes soap wouldn't come off the razor during swishes in the sink. It was really odd. I refilled the sink with warmer water during my first pass and the soap came off after that. I wanted to try a cold water shave again because the results yesterday after my first attempt were terrific. But I guess this soap needs hot water to rinse off. The soap has a pleasant scent and actually felt incredibly slick through the shave. I'm really enjoying the Speick aftershave. I hope everyone has a great day!
Did I ever freeze with the Glacial Wintergreen trio. I also got a wonderful BBS shave with so little effort!
