Razor: Gillette Aristocrat 1947 Birth Razor Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock Super Platinum (1) Brush: Omega Professional 10098 Boar Soap: Route 66 Frozen Margarita A/S: Captain's Choice Bay Rum A big thanks to @Bobcat for sending me the Gillette 7 O'clock Super Platinum blades. This was my first shave with this blade and it was great. My big find of the year had to be the Route 66 products. Every soap I tried work up a great slick lather easily. Happy New Year and be safe.
THURSDAY Final morning shave of 2015! Only my second shave using this vintage C-MON 'Blackie' and I ma very impressed with how smooth this razor shaves. This shouldn't really be a surprise as almost all shaves I've had with these vintage CMONs have been exceptionally smooth. A great way to end the year! Have a wonderful & safe New Year's Eve, everyone!

Thor's Day, Last Shave of 2015: Prep: Hot shower, Nivea for Men Original Moisturizing Face Wash Brush: Omega 11575 Boar Lather: Ginger's Garden Jasmine Amber glycerin with mango butter Razor: Birth year/quarter Gillette Black Handle Super Speed Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (1) Passes: WTG, XTG (1, 2) Post: Cold water rinse, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Captain's Choice Cat o' Nine Tails AS splash Cologne: Aoud Forest by Montale (sample) After breaking down and buying my preferred nighttime cold medicine, my cold appears to have settled into what, for me, is laryngitis. So, I braved a two-pass shave today. The Jasmine Amber is a gorgeous scent, and, seated a bit better than the Lavender (Herbal) was, lathered more predictably. The Bic was as sharp and smooth as expected, though a new puck of soap with several days' stubble proved a little challenging on the first pass. The Cat o' Nine Tails seemed to have an extra notch of heat this AM, but it predictably dissipated before it became annoying. DFS+ results, overall.

Yes it's become madness, I have been searching for one for the longest time but even most of the ones in terrible shape are commanding inflated prices.
No kidding. It's a feeding frenzy. I think I already posted this, but I saw one as nice as mine (no case, no extras) go for over $175 the other evening. For that, you can get a really nice Red Tip and a Super Speed and a Milord or a really nice cased Aristocrat.
31dec15 LAST shave of the year. I wanted to end the year on a good note so I went with the Fatboy, a known good shaver for me. Well, over all a decent shave....except for a major weeper on my left cheek bone. I even broke out the styptic pencil and it only slowed it down. Now I'm wondering what to do for tomorrow's FIRST shave of the year....
