GOOD MORNING TSD 01/02/16 SOTD Razor-Gillette Tech Ball End(ndc) Blade-Wilkinson(5) Lather-Neutrogena Brush-Uknown Synthetic Three Passes-Wtg,Xtg,Atg Post Shave -Cold Water Rinse Witch Hazel,Gillette After Shave Gel Haven't used the Tech In a while I forgot how well balanced and smooth it was to shave with. The second or third shave with the synthetic brush it's growing on me. So when all is said and done this second day of January 2016 I ended up with a BBS shave HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!!
SOTD January 2, 2016 Noxema preshave Gillette Heavy Tech/ Astra SP Semogue/ Haslinger WH / Nivea Sensitive ASB Great shave this morning! Love this Haslinger soap...such a great product.
Second shave of 2016 Same equipment as yesterday, except for the brush and the AS - Stirling Barbershop - Semogue OC - Merkur 15c - Polsilver SI (#2) - Speick Men ASL While I washed my face with the Stirling preshave soap sample I let the brush soak for a minute or two. This time I loaded the soap with a wet brush - boy, what a difference. Much easier lathering than yesterday, though I had to gradually apply some more water. Interesting how different the water management is between badger and boar brushes. And I'm still not sure which one of my two 2-band badgers I like better. The Semogue has a bit more volume and the softer tips than the WD, but it's also a bit of a lather hog. No WTG pass today, instead I started XTG, followed by an ATG pass. That too worked better than yesterday's approach. More reduction on the first pass resulted in a smoother second. There was a tiny pimple on my neck which I cut open, but other than that - very nice and irritation-free. Almost BBS this time. AS burned just a fraction of a second. Have a great day
It felt so good to mentholate myself this morning - the Black Ice soap's cooling sensation really jumped on me when I started lathering up, and when I re-lathered for my second pass it didn't feel cool any more - it felt DAMNED cold. I love its awesome skincare after a shave as well. The Lucky Tiger a/s cream moisturized and gave me great soothing, and the Alt Innsbruck was the proverbial "icing" on the cake. BBS so easily, although the Derby might be getting tired, but I'm sure I can coax one more good shave out of it!

Very funny. That is no creation of mine. It is an SOC, and I love the way it shows off its hair. It is really a nice boar, but I cannot take credit for it.

Yes - I know it's an SOC ... but your picture and the way the bristles spread out there just reminded me of these lamps My grandma had one in the 70ies, and as a kid I thought they were really cool
