    Pre: Warm shower
    Blade: Rapira Swedish Supersteel (4)
    Razor: Shave Club 3-piece
    Brush: Badger
    Lather: Soap Commander Vision (sample)
Post: Witch hazel splash, Speick a/s, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, ATG, touch-up

DFS results today! Little to no irritation. One little nick near my nose from a moment of poor concentration, but excellent other than that. The Vision scent from Soap Commander is bright and minty - a great way to begin the day.

The Rapira blade continues to work for me. I know it doesn't agree with everyone out there, but I guess that's why there are so many brands of blades! There is one for everybody.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Prep: Warm Shower-Stirling Bath Soap-Pig Trail
    Soap: The Savoy
    Razor: Gillette Fat Boy
Blade: Gillette 70’s “Spoiler” Super Stainless (7)
    Brush: Thater Silvertip-26mmx55mm
    Aftershave: Burberry Brit

The Savoy again today. 20 seconds to load the Thater Silvertip. Easy, thick, slick, lather. 70’s Gillette “Spoiler” still in the Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Burberry Brit.

    Same soap, different brush today.

How do you like that ball-end handle? I have a tech like that and thought the handle was slippery.

I like it, it don't seem too slippery to me, but my fingers are like sandpaper this time of year LOL

Herm, sorry to hear about your bad experience with the SS. Have you tried it with a Feather blade and a super light touch? That is working well for me, anyway. Stick with it, and I'm sure you'll get it figured out. Don't sell this one.

    Happy New Year, my friend.

Not off to the best start for the year.... Yesterday's first shave of the year wasn't anything special so I didn't post it. And today's....well...

I didn't do my normal routine of getting hot water for the scuttle, I just used warmish tap water. I had a heck of a time getting lather, the brush didn't load very good(rather thin), and it was losing hairs more than normal. :(

I haven't used my OLD OC in a while so that was today's choice. Even though lather wasn't great, and I could feel the blade being more aggressive, it still did a good job with no cuts or irritation. Tomorrow I will keep the razor and blade but will change up the brush and soap.

Overall a passable good shave although not an enjoyable one.
