Sorry you got snake bit. But on the positive that is one gorgeous picture! A unique looking razor and a beautiful brush restoration.

It's all good now. I new it would happen at some point. Thanks but I didn't restore this brush though it did start me on the 400 restoration path. I stole this one on another forum for less than the cost of the knot he installed.

I'm considering getting back involved with the 1924, I'm not in any pain but there is a fair amount of razor burn I am wondering if I get it right will shaving hinder the healing? Of course if I get it wrong it's gona hurt but I'm desperate to have another go

I lathered up my MWF this morning using the @Bill_F method and got much better lather. I think I'm going to like this soap. Great shave today.

Thanks for the kind words. When shaving yesterday I found I was exhaling at the wrong times at first, making the razor less steady than it could be.

I would probably take the day off and let everything heal up.

With the Milord, is it a two pass DFS kinda razor?

Glad the Old Type works for you. Wouldn't have been used at all here, so better give it to someone who appreciates it, right? ;) Will be interesting to read what you'll figure out about the differences between the two razors.

I have that "lather not willing to leave the brush" problem with the SOC badger ... the cheaper Whipped Dog works much better in that respect. Regarding the Omega: My 49 (basically the 48 with a different handle) was a real mean lathering machine, but just a bit too big for my taste.

I'm glad the lather was better and you got a great shave today. Many folks love MWF. It has certainly grown on me. I found a thread that @PLANofMAN has in Shave Soaps that deals with MWF. I adopted some of his suggestions when I started working with this soap.
