Second shave with the Schick E3. Don't you just love the way the SOC shows off its hair?

First shave of 2016 and thanks to the post by @Bird Lives I used my Grandpa's 1912 to kick the shaving year off right. :happy088:

It had been some months since I broke out this classic SE and it was a pleasure to use. From the first buttered toast feedback to the nice, clean shave it gave me I really enjoyed shaving with it again. My mom is visiting so, in a sense, there were four generations up and about this morning.

Thanks also to @Bird Lives for pointing out that it was a 1924 variant of the 1912. I wasn't aware of the 1924 variant but it does match the picture and description.

Found this for a good price today in the wild. I think it's a G-3. Does that sound correct?

That was a great price for a 1947 Christmas Limited Edition Type G 3 ...They are fetching some Crazy prices these days..These are 24 Karat gold plated ..The earlier 1946 Christmas Limited Edition Type G 2 was 14 Karat gold plated...A wee bit of toothpaste & a cloth should polish that up well whist being easy on the plating..:)

Striped Nato would be my choice. Those are cool on any watch.

The 1947 Xmas Edition Type G 3 that you have is at the Top here...It has a standard square neck like all other G Types and it has a Hollow handle...The 1946 Xmas Edition Type G 2 at the bottom has a rounded neck and has a Solid Steel handle that tapers & is slightly longer..The 1946 edition also has the 14 Karat hallmark stamped into the neck...;)

Tonights shave I will be trying my Canadian E2 late model as it does not have the spring that opens.
The first time I used it I used a Chick. The shave was ok but not like the US E2. So this time I loaded it with a cutdown Feather.

    Schick E2 Canadian
    blade Feather AC
    Brush WD synthetic
    Soap AOS sandalwood cream.
    AS decided after done shaving.

A light touch with those Feather Pros...They are Nice in an E 2..These are as sharp as any NOS blade & maybe then some..Good to hear your thoughts on them..:)

Just finished my shave with my Canadian E2 and Feather blade. What is the word I am looking for???????????
Oh yah WOW. What a total transformation from the chick blade. Soooo smooth and efficient now. This rivals my PAL for closeness and smooth shaving. Mind you I must be very careful with the E2 as it will bite. I got 2 weepers on my adams apple by not paying close enough attention. My PAL to me is automatic fairly forgiving.

I will be using this for the next few shaves. I want to see how long the blade lasts. I can get 4 really good shaves and the 5th is ok but deteriorates quickly with chicks.

Has anybody tried these in their PAL and PAL adjustable? Just curious as I will be receiving an adjustable PAL soon.

They are certainly game changers in particular injector's those Feather Pros...Glad you enjoyed the shave...The Pro blade can be less forgiving for sure but ever so smooth with a "Feather like Touch"...They offer a particular smooth finish an all..I have used them in the PAL Adjustable as well and they fit well but not to the same degree as the Type E 2..They totally transform a Schick Type G as well...I forgot to tell you about the Adams Apple...They can Nip you there...Slipped my memory that one...:happy102:
