Shaving related products/activities you want to try in 2016

I think this is the year where pass-arounds (like the one @youngunn is organizing now) will take off on TSD

 

Maybe you can pass around some razors lol

Maybe we should create a pass around ideas thread, see what people would LIKE to try out and make it happen.

 

Great list, the last one may be tough. I have a wife but she doesn't have an interest or the time she says for wet shaving . Maybe I went wrong getting her a long handled Gillette Black Beauty instead of the sparkly lady Gillette.
We just adopted a little girl who was born on December 21st last year. So maybe she will make use of the long handle razor in the future. Why risk it, I better get a shiny lady Gillette just incase.

Great list, I really like 3 and four. Maybe we can come up with a pass around idea . It would be my first as well.

Will PM ya more on the details. Maybe a start to finish in a box or something.

Maybe do it in groups then the pick an available item from each group.

For instance.

Groups:

Pre- shave.___
Razor.____
Blades.___
Soap.____
After Shave.____
AS Balm.____
Cologne. _____

Then we have a list of the available items that would be in each catagory and people pick one to make a start to finish shave box pass around.

It maybe way more complicated than I make it out to be, I really don't know. I have never done anything like this.

What do you guys think ?

Oops , your a quick draw youngunn. I didn't even see that new thread link.

 

For 2016 I want to:

1) Learn to shave with a straight razor as well as strop etc.

2) Start restoring all these old brushes I have everywhere.

3) Try shaving with a Mongoose razor .

4) Continue spreading the gospel of traditional shaving past just my immediate family. So far I have my 3 sons. Hopefully in time I will have my wife , son in law , grandson and daughter.

5) Last but not least.....try Arko !!!!

 

LOL...this is pretty much me as well minus #3...however, I have all the razors I want and dont really care to get more (that can change very quick though), and Im more into my soaps now.

 

Thank you! Congratulations on the adoption!! What a wonderful thing!! I plan to keep working at it. Hopefully the pink Schick will convince her if the blue lady Gillette is not enough. Good luck on getting your wife to try but at least you won't look to bad using the black beauty. Not sure either of my financee's would be my style.
