Post: Alum, Nivea Sensitive Balm with menthol crystals, Stetson Cooling Moisture

I've dialed in the Red Tip I believe, another DFS+ with the Voskhod. Good hit of menthol at the end with the Nivea and Stetson.

This cool Tuesday morning shave was pleasant and super comfortable.
The Williams lathered very nice with the VDH brush.
The Super Speed Lord blade combo made quick work of my whiskers.
The Gillette A/S Gel Was just right on this zero degree morning.
When all is said and done another BBS shave!

Gym Shave
I decided to start going to the gym before work, but I realized I need a new lock, since the one I have is too big for the lockers. I was in the middle of my shave when another man started using his electric a few sinks down from me. I was feeling smug to myself about how much better my shave would be, when I dropped my Futur on the floor after the last pass. The top came off and the blade went skittering under the feet of the electric shaver. Just like that, I am humbled as I quietly pick up the pieces. The razor is fine, and I am reminded that I shave for me, and not to impress anyone. My face was red, but not from the quality of the shave!
I also used Shea Moisture Shave Creme as a pre shave for the first time, and I like it. It is cheaper than many pre shaves and does a great job. I made excellent lather from the Fougére Imperiale, and finished up with Pinaud Clubman, since it has a similar scent to my nose.

Wonderful shave this morning. This is such a great combination. I am ready to face the world!

 

I have thought about going to the gym before work, and I have used shaving as an excuse. Your post makes me have to remove that excuse.

 

Good Morning, today's SOTD as follows;

1941 Gillette Ranger Tech.
Personna Platinum Chrome blade.
Chinese Badger Hair brush.
Cella shaving soap.
Avon Mesmerize post shave conditioner.
Avon Mesmerize cologne.

The blade and razor combo was a perfect match between vintage and modern. I had my doubts about these blades when I discovered how flimsy they seem, but they perform well in all the vintage razors I have tried so far. I managed a two pass BBS w/minor touch up. Here's the photo-

This will be the maiden voyage for my new Ikon B1 OC. I ordered the head last week during the Ikon sale. Just to good of a price right before NB 2016. The razor did not disappoint with a near BBS 3 pass shave. Route 66 Lumberjack is a winner also. Finished off with a splash of F&C Shambala and I am off to fight Atlanta traffic.

I don't know how I survived this menthol bombardment - the Glacial Lemon Chill soap felt like Siberia in January, the Glacial Wintergreen balm built on that sensation, and the Arctique aftershave hit me with a mega-freeze of its own. I LOVE it! (Mission accomplished again for a BBS!)

Only needed a WTG pass with touch-up since my beard growth was pretty light. I will stick with this setup for two more days before a little variety.
