I have this empty Avon decanter bottle I picked up at a flea market a few months ago. Anybody else collect Avon bottles? ... To be continued... Don
I'm hoping @gorgo2 might chime in. He's pretty knowledgeable about Avon products. ... To be continued... Don
I like that one. I have the eagle aftershave decanter. I want a couple more like the gavel and an eagle that is different from the one I have. I have always been a fan of the unique bottles.
I appreciate the thought but wife and i are doing massive decluttering now, and i'd have nowhere to display it well anyway. Thak you thougj!
I only have one. When I picked up the straight pictured, "The King" by Simmons, and had heard about positive reviews on Wild Country, it all came together. I've seen enough of the chess pieces around I could build the set.
I have a camper special pick up with Deep Woods aftershave, and the camper is full of Talc powder. I picked them up at a junk shop, but didn't like the smell.
Didn't like the smell of what was in this one either. That's why it is empty. When I was a kid I owned a '37 Buick Special with a Straight Eight, Suicide Doors, Three-on-the-Knee, mohair seats, and a pull up window shade in back. I was in the Army and my parents sold it. Must have forged my signature. Or it smelled like Avon Wild Country. ... To be continued... Don
Cool !!! I have a few that were given to me but I don't collect them. But I would keep that one . I had an old Baja bug back in high school. It was so much fun.
So did I, that's why I'm holding on to it. I have a big bottle of Avon wild something? That I should decant.. Someday..
Just my opinion, but it's much like Avon Skin So Soft.... keeps the bugs away. ... To be continued... Don
I'll be honest, my camper special is probably going into the sell or trade pile. I have a ton of aftershaves, and with two kids in the house, plastic bottles are much better than glass. This one is also hard to open and use. Currently, it is on the highest shelf of the book case in the office to keep the toddler from paying with it. Its 95% or more full, as is the talc powder. There are a lot of flavors of wet shaving, I just don't think I want to get into this one.
Not gonna change any minds if you don't like it. For the curious read on! From Basenotes.net; "Wild Country is a fougère scent that is masculine with aromatic freshness of lavender and oak moss. This cologne captures a rugged essence with a vibrant mix of grasses, spicy coriander, warm, spicy, woody, with a lingering touch of musk, and powdery tones. This classic fragrance could be described as a typical "barbershop scent”. I also get a "baby powder" feel from this. Not something guys might expect from a scent that's supposed to be masculine. Other aromatic fougère in my collection include: Eternity, Stetson's Sierra, Intimately Beckham, Dolce and Gabbana, Brut, Dana's Canoe, and YSL's Rive Gauche" http://www.basenotes.net/threads/233101-Wild-Country-by-Avon
