    Wine Wednesday
Shea Moisture cream provided excellent prep, and Fireside worked its wonder again today, featuring optimal lather exploding from my HIS and post shave feel. Der Futur showed no signs of wear from its tumble to the floor yesterday, sending my stubble to its doom in comfort and ease. I finished up with Lavanille Tonique and I'm ready for a busy day.

Thanks! I figured this was a less known soap, so I thought some comment on how it performs was due. :)

    Good morning everyone.

    My shave today:

    schnee.jpg

    - Stirling Preshave Soap
    - Stirling Barbershop
    - Semogue OC Badger
    - Phoenix DOC
    - Polsilver SI (#2)
    - La Toja After Shave Lotion

Today was one of those days ... everything came together for a fantastic shave. The Stirling soap and the Semogue brush produced a lot of nice lather, after spreading that all over my face I took a new approach to shaving: Instead of dedicated WTG/ATG/XTG passes I just shaved 1 pass from ear to chin, the next one from chin to ear. With my strange beard growth pattern that is in fact a mix between X and ATG (even WTG in some small areas). With just these two passes, the right shaving angle and a tiny bit of touchup at my left sideburn area I achieved something between a DFS+ and a BBS- shave ... more than suitable for daily use ;) And for the first time ever the Aftershave was totally quiet, no reaction at all - zero, zip, nothing, nada, rien. So I rate this A+++ in terms of irritation.

Oh - and as you can tell from the picture we had quite a bit of snowfall here, about 3 inches since yesterday. Temperature dropped from 55 to 13 since New Years Day.

Yeah - thanks for the review. I wondered how the TFS and the Cella would compare - now you answered my question :happy088:

I had a very pleasant shave with the SuperMax Menthol cream - its cooling effect is not strong but it can still be felt. The Gold Bond/Aqua Velva duo gave me more than enough extra cooling and soothing! :happy088: :happy088:

My Omega brush will soon be fully broken in at the rate it's going! :)

    Prep: cold splash and wash:Animatedfrozensmily:
Lather: Dusy Kabinett (bowl lathered with cold water)
    Brush: TGN synthetic
    Razor: Ikon B1 Standard head
    Blade: Astra SP (4)
Post: cold rinse and Old Spice

It takes approximately 45 seconds for the water in my bathroom sink to warm up as apparently the water runs through the entire house before it arrives at my sink from the water heater, so I decided to try a cold water shave. My lather was outstanding from the DK and TGN knot. The shave itself was fine, not great, but not bad. It doesn't feel as smooth as normal, so I'll try it again tomorrow.

Clubman just seems right with Willams. Nice shave from the Tech and the DG blade is not bad, not the greatest but certainly a good enough blade that gave a fine shave. Now go enjoy your day folks

How is the Gold Bond cream as a post shave? I've observed some others use this as well...
