Another tremendous photo! You and the other creative photographers here at TSD make it hard on those who aren't talented in that area (me!).

    Razor- '61 Aristocrat Adjustable (5)
    Blade- Treet Platinum (1)
    Brush- VDH Boar
    Soap- Williams

The Treet Platinum blades were a pack-in with the original DeFitch razor that I received at Christmas. (Nice handle, but the head scares me too much after everything I've read.) This was my first time using them, though, so I went with what I felt was a safe razor.

I think I over hydrated the Williams a bit as the lather ended up a bit thin and seemed to dissipate quicker than I prefer. Nevertheless, I ended up with a DFS with no irritation, so I must have done something right.

I'm starting to think I should spend the rest of this month focusing on the Williams.

I've used Williams a few times and this has always happened to me. It dissipates within just a few moments. You constantly have to reapply. I like the Williams scent and would love to be able to use it since it's soooo affordable. There are some folks on TSD that use it successfully. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong the with lathering.

I tossed my puck a couple of months ago because of the dissipation.

Very cooling, moisturizing, and soothing and it has no real scent so it won't disrupt the scent of a cologne or an eau de toilette. :)

Had a fun shave with the Gillette Aristocrat (1948-50). Two passes was all I needed today. Aces!

Thanks, bud! It was a gift from a acquaintance at the tram museum where I do voluntary work. It's certainly not new and the bowl has got some dents, but it has lotsa charm! The mirror image is a bit wobbly, so it certainly has some age to it! In 'the days when' it was quite difficult to produce perfect flat glass. Hence the wobbly image. ;)

I see you're still on a roll with your excellent photography and compositions! Always a pleasure to see them! :smiley respect:

Where in Texas is Hondo, Bob? Your grass is still green! My yard is brown and covered in leaves. I'm jealous that you seem to be able to take your daily pictures outside.

Thank you Mark. The synthetic has these positives:
    Super Soft
    Splays well
Picks up a good deal of soap
    Dries quickly
Perfect for traveling or with particularly finicky soaps to lather (Mystic Water)
I chose it this morning because my Williams soap (courtesy Vintage Williams Project/thank you @GDCarrington) is in a very small jar and I don't care to smash my badger brushes into it, risking breaking hairs off. The CH2 synthetic works well here.
Will the synthetic replace my Manchurians or my SiLVERTiP? Never.
