Time to switch things up after five days with the MWF. I was finally getting good lather with the MWF and liked the performance. Today I lathered up some Route 66 soap and was instantly reminded how much I like this stuff. It lathers easy, is slick and smells great. I will do 5 or 6 days with this soap before switching to another.
I dug out a Schick Krona today and got a really nice two pass shave.

I'm only a month ahead of you, I shave my head and had two spots I just couldn't get no matter the amount of passes or direction. Believe me I hurt myself trying. I did eventually get it but still with extra passes. The guys suggested a more aggressive razor once I was confident and they where right my new razor gets these spots in two passes no problem. Of course aggressive razors bite with poor technique but at the same time get it right and fewer passes mean smoother skin. Just something to keep in mind for the future, glad your doing so well so soon.

Im just catching up after working in Wales all day. They aren't aware of internet yet. Sorry you got scraped up but your experience shows in that you knew to step back that is something I hope to learn before I take things to far. I still push my skin abit much and always regret it

Enjoyed the picture. I like seeing everyone's snow pictures. We may get some this year, but we can go years without any real snow. Glad you had such an irritation free shaves! Those are always wonderful!

All you have to do is stick that bowl in a picture and it instantly is amazing, but then you go and add an incredibly beautiful razor with the bowl. Just not fair! Really is a beautiful combination! Glad the Aristocrat OC shaves as well as it looks!

We have those difficult areas. Mine the chin and jaw line. I will use a preshave cream (Proraso) or oil on those areas. If they were irritated from a previous shave.

I skipped last nights shave due to falling asleep at 6.30pm the transition back to work after two weeks has really hit me. I decided to get up at 5.30am and treat myself to a nice quite shave before work. I also threw in a new blade, it was delightful, same story I didn't think of the end result and just enjoyed the process. BBS with two minor touch ups. I'm really enjoying and appreciating the 1924 now and I've discovered short strokes for first two passes and long ones atg works a treat. The maca root continues to impress but I'm growing tired of the smell it's becoming sickly. I think I'm a morning shave sort of guy from now on. Shaving followed by a coffee is a great way to start the day.
