Got to use the Old Spice cream for the very first time today. The scent is a very mild version if the aftershave which is pleasant. The performance is pretty good. Definitely a keeper.

Feeling much better today and didn't shave last night so I got a shave in this morning!
Prep: Hot Shower/ Nivea Original Moisturizing Face Wash
    Pre-Shave: PAA Ice Pre-Shave Soap
    Soap: Beaver Woodright Shipwreck Cove
    Brush: Muhle Synthetic
Razor/ Blade: Muhle R41 Hyrbrid w/ Personna Platinum
    Astringent: Alum
    Post-Shave: Nivea Sensitive Balm
    Aftershave Splash: Fine Platinum

Fantastic shave this morning. Beaver Woodright soap was on my miss list of 2015, but finally got the lather right today. It is a very fine line to get the lather right, but I got it this morning and it worked very well. Definitely not the slickest soap by any means but more of a thick, cushiony lather. Post shave was great and left me moisturized. Scent strength is medium/ strong. R41 definitely not the smoothest razor--has lots of blade exposure, but it absolutely crushes 2 days of growth. Fine Platinum scent pairs perfectly by Chanel Platinum Egoiste cologne for anyone who was wondering. Glad to be back have a great Wednesday!

Yup, I do! Got 'em as a gift a few weeks ago. And I agree with your experience. Feels very sharp, but they ain't super smooth. But hey, there are blades which are simply bad (or that don't agree with my skin), so I'm not complaining!

    Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower, Jumping Juniper shampoo cake from Lush
    Soap/cream- VITOS green
    Brush- Proraso boar
Razor- WEBER Polished head stainless steel
    Blade- Perma sharp super
Post- Cold water rinse, Humphrey Witch hazel, Nivea Original aftershave balm and Pinaud Clubman original

Nice shave today. First time using Perma sharp blades. They did well. Much better than I was expecting. I'm gonna give it a few more goes and see how they perform.

The VITOS is a very nice soap. I loaded again before my next pass because I felt the lather was a bit thin and was rewarded with an amazing lather =D slick and protective.

I don't know why I change my technique when I use a new blade, but I shaves in a different way. Not special, just different.

Finished with Pinaud. You cant Go wrong with pinaud =D

That Omega brush of mine is getting broken in very nicely!

    Thursday morning:

    Stirling Pre-Shave Soap :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:
    Omega Red Handle
    Super Speed/Derby day 4

I think by the end of this week my new Omega brush will be ready for my soaps - what I do is give it a workout every evening to get it limbered up and more flexible. It's really coming along extremely well. Rod's pre-shave soap is a must-have for me because it leaves my skin so clean as well as my stubble well-prepped. The Edwin Jagger Menthol cream lathers so easily, and its scent has more or less grown on me. The menthol effect is medium power and very pleasant. I'm really loving the Shambala aftershave which I bought from Italian Barber - does it ever smell awesome, and it has great staying power! ;) :D

Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed (Z3)
    Feather (3)
Rudy Vey Shavemac two-band silver tip
    Route 66 Lumberjack
    Two passes plus touch-ups
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Small Batch Shave Tonic

This set up could easily be my one and only. It just works that well for me. I get a close shave and no skin irritation, plain and simple. I'm focusing on my blade angle, the sound of the blade cutting the whiskers, direction, and the overall quality of lather to minimize the need for touch-ups after the second pass.

I hope you all are having a fantastic week! It finally feels like winter here in my neck of the woods. Still no snow, though.

    20160106_190042.jpg

    Prep: gustafsons woodlands
Razor: Gillette ball end old type
    Blade: Gillette nacet (1st shave)
    Brush: RazoRock plissoft
Soap: Soap Smooth Frankincense & Myrrh

Had a good 2 pass shave today. Really like the scent and performance of this soap, whips up a nice lather with ease. Shave was smooth with only 1 small nick. Finished off with Emulsion which soothes the skin nicley. Hope everyone had a great shave!
