    THURSDAY
    My first shave using this fine Japanese Western-style H. Diamond 8000, courtesy of Mike @entropy1049 .
    In shave-ready condition, after a few gentle laps on the Tony Miller strop, I had a lovely 3-pass shave that was about as smooth a SR shave as I've experienced.
    Smooth as silk. After this shave, I now see why these rare shavers are in such demand. Über-keen edge. BBS results. Memorable. Look for a repeat tomorrow!

    I will definitely try it on 6 soon ... and I will definitely be careful with it :shocked003: I'm at work right now but my wife texted me that another package arrived today. That's my new R41 head - tomorrow I'll check how aggressive that one really is.

    Very nice. I forgot how good the Red Tip shaves. The soap and the Aftershave are a very good combinaton.

    You described all the reasons I love my Futur. I haven't felt any RAD since! Hopefully it stays that way! :)

    I like to use mine at higher settings, but that is part of the charm of the beast - you can set it the way that is best for you. Recently, I have been leaving it at 5.5 for all three passes with excellent results.

    Post: Cold water rinse, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Captain's Choice Cat o' Nine Tails aftershave splash
    Cologne: Gigember Estragone by Dr. Vranjes

    My experience is that the 41c has less blade exposure than the Bamboozled RAKE, resulting in a milder shaver. Couple that with a blade having a day's use, and the Schick-Premium didn't feel quite so 'dangerously' sharp this AM as it did yesterday. As a result, I was able to be a bit less cautious without opening any wounds on my skin, and got something very close to, but not quite BBS. Despite the luxurious lather - which I admittedly had to go back to the puck for on Pass 3 - there were still a few 'hot spots' pointed out by the alum. I'm curious to see if the Schick-Premium follows the reputation of another extremely sharp blade, the Feather, and is ready for the bin tomorrow.

    The change from MWF to VDH made a huge difference. Yesterday's shave was nice. This was a bloodbath.
