3:49...to end... The greatest Brit ever to play the blues. When I was 15 I saved my money to buy a Fender. David Gilmour was the reason.
I spent today with my phone playing 70's funk music for my students as we worked through a "throw-back Thursday." Lots of Stevie Wonder, W.A.R., etc.
Watched this b/c I was missing Bozo for some reason. Sorry, you had to be a kid in Chicagoland in the '60s-'80s to really appreciate it.
Growing up in Alabama, cable TV was the only option, we kids watched the Bozo show and Cubs ball all summer. Ryne was my favorite player. We would set up old coffee cans for an ersatz "Grand Prize Game", and Ik always wanted to be the SS in pick up ball... All because of WGN and the lack of lights at Wrigley. 80s Chicago local TV at its finest. And even though I was like 8, I wondered if old Harry Caray had been sipping on the whiskey a bit...
Harry was a Bud man, I do believe. Lots of Bud. My older sister won a slick green Schwinn 10 speed and my brother won a year's supply of something from the GPG. Me? Nothing.
