I moved away from my focus today and there is a good reason. The day progressed pretty much as usual for a Winter Thursday. Did some running around this morning, got my wife her paper and headed into the indoor golf school for a lesson and to hit some balls. Everything went great, even had time to share some thoughts with other club makers and practised my putting. Headed home had a good lunch of leftover Chinese food. Worked on a putter grip I've been developing, and that went well also. Pretty good day. I noticed the mail truck go by from my shop window, and waited a bit to go get the mail. We have a community mail boxes we use now after the snow plow kept wrecking ours mail boxes year after year.
Now some time ago @
Boojum1 said he had sent me something which left the U.S. on December 16/15 and had gone to Postal heaven. We where both sure whatever it was had been lost. Off I got to get the mail. I opened the mail box door and there's a box in the mail along with a few letters and a magazine my wife gets. I don't have my reading glasses on so I'm trying to figure out what I might have ordered. Nothing came to mind.
Much to my surprise I was the gift that @
Boojum1 had sent in early December. When I opened it I couldn't believe my eyes. A Gillette 1947 Super Speed in amazing condition. It looked like it was just made yesterday. Okay early December.

Thank you Mark for this incredible gift. In Keeping with the rules of DE shaving, Rule # 47 you must use a razor that is send to you on the day you receive it. I used the Gillette 1947 with a Personna SS, Route 66 Sweeney Todd, and Fine American Blend after shave. An amazing razor, shave soap, and after shave for a perfect BBS.
