    Personna
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Cucumber WH
    Pinaud Vegetal

The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #32 horse hair brush. Two passes with my Gillette Black Tip razor and a Personna Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and then Pinaud Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Oh, nice. You really don't need a 500$ razor to get a nice shave

This cream is glycerin based. I'm still trying to get it to whip up a dense lasting lather. Plenty of glide, working on the cushion. Interesting scent; Neroli, Petitgrain, Bitter Orange, Rose, Rosemary, Musk, & Sandalwood.
Brush, razor, & blade performing like I'm focusing on learning them.
First use of the Pinaud AS. Like another of their line it smells different from the plastic bottle, but I decanted right away. I find the scent acceptable and no one has asked me to stop using it yet.

Rudy Vey Shavemac two-band silver tip
    XPEC unscented
    Two passes plus touch-ups
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Small Batch Shave Tonic

I enjoyed a late shave today (Friday), and I expect to do likewise on Saturday. I continue to focus on every step of my two-pass shave, hoping to reduce the need for touch-ups and still get near BBS results with no irritation. The DE shaves, day after day, have been the best ever with the Super Speed. For variety, I alternate between the Route 66 soap and the XPEC cream.

I hope everyone has a fun weekend!

    SATURDAY
    Evening Shave For Tomorrow
Third consecutive day shaving with a Japanese western-style (JWest) razor, tonight I used a restored Takehana FEON #172—a well-made, well-designed razor that takes an extremely keen edge yet is easy and nimble to navigate. A dozen laps on the red latigo strop and it was good to go. Very smooth. Three pass with near-BBS results. That's good enough for me….
    Have a great weekend, all!

    Straight Feather Goose Focus

    January 8

For January I'm focusing on two razors, the W.B. Speed Rabbit TSR and the Mongoose, on loan from @Rufus T. Since the Goose uses AC blades I'm using the Feather Pros.

    Razor - Mongoose
    Blade - [IMG] (5)
    Brush - BoS Omega 10066
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post - Cold Water, Alum, Nivea, The Veg

I think I'm beginning to get the hang of using absolutely no pressure on this razor. Set up a great Fat lather with the BoS and took two passes to a very nice DFS. No nicks or other problems, but I let the razor do all the work. Clearly that's a key. Also, it helps that the Feather Pros tend to smooth out and mellow a bit with time. They did that with the Feather SS and they are doing the same with the Goose. I'm thinking two more shaves easy on the blade which is perfect. I will use the Rabbit Monday and then will be in Chicago for three days. I'll be taking along one of the DE's for that trip since I don't want to risk losing @Rufus T. 's razor, or the Rabbit either one. I'm thinking the Rimei to travel with since it costs a whole $2 and change. Plus it works well with a sharp blade. I finished with the Veg again today and.....again......exceeded sales budget today. Yep, it's the magical stuff. And, of course, I'm not superstitious.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

    Razor: Satin Mongoose\Triad Helix aluminum
Blade Feather Artist Club Professional (D16)
Brush: Semogue 2013 SE Silvertip Badger
    Bowl: Yoresh Scuttle
    Pre Shave Scrub: MRGLO
    Pre Shave Oil: Jasmine Creamsicle
Shave Soap: Route 66 Perfect Gent
    Post: Monster Alum Block
    Aftershave: Folsom Shambala

After 8 straight days of Bay Rum and still six more on the shelf that I planning with to continue the run, I have received five new soaps in the past couple of days so calling an end to the Bay Rum. Compliments of Kerry (@RaZorBurn123) I will be giving Route 66 Perfect Gentleman a go with tomorrow's shave. Nice smooth aroma that I pickup some Yuzu, Jasmine, patchouli, vetiver and some other fragrances and will pair well with Shambala which has Yuzu, lemon, vetiver. This will also end my run with the larger size SE blades and eyeing the Shovelhead to start another SE run on Sunday.

    Good Morning fellow Shave Denizens, today's SOTD as follows;

1917 US Army Ball End Old Type.
    Polsilver Super Iridium blade.
    Omega Travel boar brush.
    Cella shaving soap.
    Avon Mesmerize post shave conditioner.
    Avon Mesmerize cologne.

As always this 99 year old razor really delivered. This razor performs its primary function perfectly after all this time. In my opinion these old model 102 Gillette's are the best shaving razors ever produced. They really did it right the first time. Here's the photo-

I very seldom use a de, but when I do, it's this super speed and each time I do I can't understand why I don't use it more often....So mild but so effective. Such a joy...
