Stirling samples are pretty generous. If you don't mind citronella check out stirling electric sheep. It is sheep tallow and probably the slickest of all rod's soaps. Now if only it was mentholated. Hmm. I just h was d an idea.
There are indeed excellent vegan soaps, but nothing surpasses the post-shave feel of a tallow soap. IMO...
Oh, it's not gonna end like that. You done stirred the pot. It's tallow required soap under discussion. But wait! There's more... Tell me of this lanolin you speak of. Beneficial to have both?
Lol, this is getting weird. Yes, in general Lanolin and Tallow are beneficial by themselves or together. They have some overlapping benefits, but they also are different and offer different benefits. Some people, but not many, have had bad reactions to lanolin, so people who are sensitive may want to test on a small area first. For now, I don't want lanolin in anything, more so I can see any benefits of tallow first - due to my skin condition. That aside, for others you'd likely get good results with a shaving soap with both.
MWF has been a favorite since the early 1930's. It's on most wet shavers "favorite soap" list. I rotate M WF with Tabac (Tallow) and VDH (a non tallow) soap. All three are easy to lather and my personal favorites. YMMV
