I admit to having a flashlight or in your case torch fetish. Always had since a kid. Have many Cree led flashlights including the head stay type that allows for two hand work.

I'm curious myself. Not sure if they were finished originally in gold, brass, or copper. Maybe someone can enlighten us?

 

I think they were originally brass with a gold wash. On yours, I assume all the gold is gone and the brash highly polished. As I understand it, the copper color comes from the fact that parts of the razor used brass with a higher copper content.
