**DONE** Convert someone to wet/DE shaving PIF

Great PIF! Haven't got anyone in mind at the moment. Will enter later if I come up with anything.

 

Very generous pif buddy and it's a nice starter set. I started with a VDH kit and still use it on occasion. Have fun. NOT IN.

 

Ha yes I did thanks for the heads up. I'll do that until at least April lol

 

I'm in for myself (if that's not too selfish...). Not a DE shaver yet, still on cartridges, but dipping my toes into wet shaving and am weaning myself off of "shaving cream" that comes in a can, and would love to give DE a try as I have heard great things.

 

My grandson 8 lives down the street. Since he was 4 he's been watching me shave (some prior to DE). As a result I got him his first razor (photo) and he's been practicing. Last September I let him pick a razor from my rotation to use (w/out blade). A gold tone tech caught his eye and he has be mainly using it. He has also used my SS and Red Tip. He knows all about the process, can identify most my vintage razors and always ask me if I got a BBS. So since he showed so much interest I had the tech gold re plated (photo) and told him it was his but I would hang on to it until he got a few whiskers. He represents my first convert and will get most of my collection unless my son and other grandson show some interest.

Amazing! He's a lucky guy! Wish I'd had a teacher like you @preidy growing up. I watched my dad shave as a kid but in retrospect he wasn't very good (sorry dad) or interested in it. Is that a toy razor for kids?

 

I'm in. I'd like to convert my brother! Turn him into a real man!

I don't think it's too selfish. If he didn't want this open to folks like yourself, then he would have made it against the rules for this PIF.

Yup, nothing wrong with converting yourself. That's what I did

 

If nobody enters by tomorrow I'll choose a winner in the morning. Going snowboarding today, otherwise I'd do it today

 

The second step in becoming a gentleman, after wet shaving; is trading in the snowboard in for some skis. Ha! just kidding, hope you have a good time and don't twist anything

I did start skiing as well. But will never ditch the board. Will just do both. How does that work?
