1. So, I was at Walmart last night to pick up some stuff and I stumbled across Cremo Cooling Shave Cream. It has menthol, peppermint oil, and tea tree oil, and comes in a 6 oz tube. I had never seen it before or tried Cremo, so of course it piqued my interest as a menthol lover. This must have just made it on their shelf because it wasn't there last week and had never been in any Walmart I've been to. I bought a tube and tried it this morning (brushless of course since it doesnt lather). WOW! What a slick cream and VERY cooling. My face is so smooth and the shave was closer than it had been the last few days with Proraso.

Does anyone know anything about this cream? Is it new? I can't find ANYTHING about it on Cremo's site or anywhere else.

  2. Cool! (pun intended)

Did you try it with a brush? I believe KMF states it is brushless, also, but whips up a fantastic lather when hit with the brush!

  3. Haven't tried it with a brush since people have said it doesn't lather.

I received an email back from Cremo's customer service and they said it just got released this week (and they haven't even got around to adding it to their website yet) and Walmart got the first shipments. They said they've been working on the formula for 3 years and that it will be in their other big box stores/retailers. Great news to me. I'll use this now for my travel cream and head shaves in the shower while keeping soaps for face shaving.

  4. I just cannot get into brushless stuff no matter what. :(
  5. I'm very interested. How much a tube cost? Will check the store in a few days.

  6. $5.97 for a 6 oz tube.
  7. Not bad...especially if it could be made to lather up.
  8. Yeah, I prefer the Stirling Glacial soaps or Chiseled Face Cryogen, but I always need a brushless cream to use on lazy days. Plus, it's much easier to shave my head with a brushless cream than with a brush. This new Cremo one is slick and has plenty of cooling. The scent is like a mix of peppermint and tea tree oil.

  9. I'm right there with you. Its gotta lather with a brush or I'm not buying it.

  11. Sitting and waiting in the WM auto center. It's got a potent peppermint/menthol scent, that's for sure. I'll try it in a day or two when i use a Polsilver that I just got.

  13. Good? Bad? Meh?
  14. Pretty good...good enough for me, anyway, but then I'm not one who works up mounds of lather. Face latherers typically don't/can't, as I understand it. But face lathering it up went just fine, quite adequate and the brush held enough for a full three passes.

  15. Thanks. May have to try it.
  16. Interesting. Regular Cremo lathered but it dissipated by the time I put down the brush and picked up the razor :).

  17. If you're not satisfied, let me know and I'll take it off your hands at retail and will pay shipping.

  18. To be honest, I'm not a cream guy so it may be awhile.
  19. Understood. It strikes me as one of those things WM will have and suddenly *poof* it's gone. Why? Only because I like it, and that's what usually happens.

  20. Mantic59 did a review on it an liked to add a dash of it to other soaps. IIRC he stated that is where it really shines. You would have to check his site to verify I'm over 65 and sometimes can't remeber what I had for lunch yesterday. LOL
