The Grand Havana has a nice tobacco scent that reminds me a lot of WSP Tobacco,both are on the clean end as far as tobacco scents go. The brush whipped up a nice lather with little effort. Shave came out nice and smooth. Finished off with MLS Italian Stallion aftershave milk. Hope everyone had a great shave!

Good Morning all, today's SOTD as follows; 1940/41 Gillette Milord Tech. Vintage Segal Unitary blade. Omega Travel Brush (boar). 1930's Colgate Shaving Soap. Avon Mesmerize Post Shave Conditioner. Avon Mesmerize Cologne. Another fantastic vintage shave! This old Milord Tech and the old vintage Segal blade, along with the 1930's Colgate soap all worked their magic together to make the shave a reality. Vintage Rocks! GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! 01 /16/16 SOTD Razor-Gillette 1920s Old Type Ball End OC Blade-VDH Stainless Lather-Homemade Concoction Brush-Unknown Synthetic Three Passes-Wtg,Xtg,Atg Post Shave-Cold Water Rinse Alum Block,Gillette After Shave Lotion A really great shave on this rainy Sat. morning,My homemade soap lathered nicely with the synthetic brush,the Old Type always provides a nice shave no matter what blade I use. Topped off with the Gillette After Shave Lotion(one of my favorites) so when all is said and done another DFS++++ almost BBS Shave,off to work for a couple of hours,then home to try and get rid off this head cold!! THE GSB FEELS REALLY SMOOTH IN THIS RAZOR. THIS WAS MY FIRST SHAVE WITH MY NEW TO ME DOWNEAST BAR HARBOR BRUT SS. IT SMELLS JUST LIKE BRUT, WHICH I REALLY ENJOYED. NICE SLICK, CUSHIONY LATHER WHICH SURPRISED ME BECAUSE THIS SOAP IS SOO WHITE I HAD A FEELING IT WOULD ALMOST GO ON TRANSPARENT. IT IS PRACTICALLY NEON WHITE. NICE MOISTURIZING EFFECT DUE TO IT'S NATURE OF BEING A SHEA SOAP I SUSPECT. HAVE A GREAT SHAVE AND A GREAT DAY GUYS.
SOTD January 16, 2016 Noxema pre shave Gillette Ball End Tech / Gillette 7 O'Clock Semogue / MWF WH / Shea butter/ Proraso ASB Today is my wildcard shave, so I decided to go all out and use a new razor, blade, and soap. The razor is a Travel Tech head on a Ball End Tech handle (I prefer the longer handle, but like the travel tech head). Great razor, nice balance. The blade is not my usual Astra SP, but the 7 o'clock was a welcome change. The MWF is not in my current rotation, but it is always a pleasure to use. Great shave all around. Enjoy your Saturday everyone. Here in Atlantic Canada we are bracing for a snowy few days.
