1. In the past (and currently) have used TOBS grapefruit, jermyn st, lemon lime, eton college and sandalwood
... a couple weeks ago i picked up a tub of avacado online for $15 and i must admit when i first received it and opened the tub i wasnt too crazy about the scent but after several shaves i have come to love this cream and its performance ... i'd have to say it's my favorite TOBS i've tried
  2. TOBS Avocado was my first shaving cream when I started wet shaving. I would describe it just as you did. I wasn't crazy about the scent initially, but it grew on me. It is a great cream. TOBS Sandalwood is still my favorite, though.

  3. Avocado is my favorite TOBS cream. I love the scent. Also, for some reason, this is the best lathering TOBS cream I have used. Lather is instant and wonderful. Good stuff.

  4. I have to agree 100% as that was my exact observation .. all of my TOBS make a nice lather but this Avacado is just another step up

  5. I have tried many TOBS creams and Grapefruit is my current favorite. Great, now I have to try another one
I'm in NB'16 so this goes on the buy in '17 list.

  7. Out of the TOBS i have tried (grapefruit, lemon lime, jermyn st, eton college) i find the Avacado the best performer. To me its a slicker lather and it leaves my face feeling really good after my shave

  8. I agree totally. I have some much more expensive creams that arent half as good as tobs avocado.
  9. Yup, its good stuff, and a standard. Which reminds me, I've been out for quite some time... Better reorder.
  10. TOBS Avocado was my first and is still my "go to" cream whenever I use a new razor or brush. I've always liked the fresh scent...........
  11. Avocado and Almond are by far the best creams TOBS produce (or should I say Creighton's make for TOBS) and they are both as good as any cream I've ever used.
  12. I too really like the grapefruit.

  13. I have a sample of TOBS avocado. It's setting on the shelf staring at me...
I do not eat those things. I will not eat guacamole. But that soap is staring at me...
So the grapefruit is good, too?

  14. all of the TOBS i've tried (Jermyn St, Lemon Lime, Eton College, Grapefruit) are good .. but there is just something about the Avocado that makes it a bit slicker and makes my face feel better post shave

  16. Today I passed the sample of Avocado TOBS to my father. He sniffed it, said it smelled vegetabley. I told him it's highly touted, but he knows I won't eat those things. If he uses it and likes, I may have a convert to good soap. I think he'll still use his cheap plastic Bic razor.

  17. Grapefruit is also my favorite tobs . The avocado gives a better shave to I think but the smell is hard for me to get by.

  18. I gave my sample of Avocado to my father, he gave it back to me. Said he didn't like the scent, & he likes those things. First time I've had a PIF returned. :D
  19. Some scents are polarizing, like Tabac and TOBS Avocado. Jermyn Street for me performs as well as TOBS Avocado. Don't know what the differences are in TOBS formulations.
