SHAVE OF the day Prep: Occams crushed lime Razor: Gillette superspeed flair tip Blade: Super-Max titanium Brush: RazoRock plissoft Soap: Ogallala lime & peppercorn Aftershave: Ogallala lime & peppercorn Balm: Myrsol Emulsion Smooth 2 pass shave today. The Ogallala has a great scent, but the lather seemed to be lacking something today. It was much thinner lather than normal with this soap, so I must have not loaded enough soap. Other than that the shave went well. No nicks no irritation. Hope everyone has a great shave!

The Fendrihen Sliver Tip badger brush took what seemed like forever to stop loosing hairs. I was sure I was going to give up on it, but for some reason I just kept going back to it. Then all of a sudden it stopped loosing hair. Now it is a great brush. DFS today with 3 passes. Excellent finish with Aqua Velva Ice Blue. One of my great finds of 2015 was this Old Spice Decanter. Brand new for less than $10.00 plus shipping. 1973-1976. Notice the two flags and anchor.
January 18, 2016 Razor- G3 Aristocrat Adjustable (5) Blade- GSB (1) Brush- VdH Boar Soap- Cella I was really looking forward to this shave as I just got the GSBs last week. Unfortunately, I seem to have a streak going of what are otherwise great shaves that are marred by really stupid mistakes. Today, it was a slip of the wrist while changing directions resulting in a nasty scratch on the neck. DFS otherwise, so I can't really complain too much. Nothing to do but reset and try to be more careful tomorrow.
