I heard from the bank today. They could give me half of what I asked, which is more than enough. I should be signing the papers soon!!!
Today's dinner (planned at least)... International! Store bought potato pierogies saute'ed with crumbled Italian hot sausage. Later tonight, a wee dram of Scotch (bought in Scotland for me!) in honor of my father's 9th anniversary of having passed on.
I went to the range & shot pretty well. Stopped & picked up a few groceries and bagged up the trash, to get it out today (as we are expecting heavy snow tomorrow.)
Great. Just picked up my grandson (future DE shaver) he's spending the night. In about an hour will be lighting the fireplace. Don't get any better than that!
The flakes should start coming down any time now. Blizzard warning, 18-24 inches expected, gusts 45-55 mph
I'm used to it. Born in Van Buren, Maine, moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, back to the snowbelt of upstate NY, back to northern Maine, then down to Dover, NH. I love the snow. My back started complaining about it a few yeas ago, though. Yup. And all day tomorrow. Not supposed to let up until late Sat., early Sun.
May your memories of your dad today be sweet. My dad passed away in 2001, and I miss him. We got 3" of snow today. We've had almost 5" of snow total this winter. It's been rough.
There's a blizzard here. But that didn't stop me from tutoring my student, since we do that by Skype. So I taught her the words "blizzard" and "Jeep".
