I'm still in but the new maggard V3 and V3A razor heads are crawling around in my head and I'm starting to shake a bit. both are more aggressive than their current offerings and they cost so very little. ggrrrrrrr. http://www.maggardrazors.com/product/maggard-razors-v3a-aggressive-closed-comb-safety-razor-head/
Kerry, I Googled the Blackland Blackbird razor. Looks like some $$$$$$ hardware. What is the attraction for a razor such as this? I have only seen a couple posts on this razor. Is it stainless steel? It is a fine looking razor. Thanks............
Ed, I haven't seen one bad review about this razor, we have a number of guys here who have one and give the BB razor a high grade. Yes, it's stainless steel and a big purchase in shaving gear. I'm thinking about getting one around my birthday in August. Kerry
I'm starting to get some of my soaps to new homes. Decided to focus on only gear that I enjoy using, and not use the stuff that is only partially enjoyable. Going to pull a bunch of stuff into a den clearing sale as well.
Hang in there. Maybe you can make a trade.... I'm not trading my Blackbird anytime soon but there are others who may find the next best thing. Remember "happy wife, happy life". Good luck.
Check out this thread --------> http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/blackland-blackbird-brotherhood-bbb.48627/ I have one and it has already become my favorite. I never expected to spend this much on a razor, but I am glad that I did.
Received the last order I placed on New Years Eve. It took 19 days to arrive from Scotland. It's pre- shave oil from The Executive Shaving Company. Now there's nothing new until 2017. I'm handling it well; enjoying my creams and soaps. I'm not even checking out the Fendrihan website anymore!
I would think considering the favorable dollar exchange rate between USA/Canada that sites such as Fendrihan, Italian barber and menessencials would be a steal for US and other customers with a higher dollar value.
I thought you were joking...so I checked and you were right...the Fendrihan stainless razors are half price. Great deal. However, I am waiting for the closed comb version before I order. I am not keen on the combination open and closed head on the current models.
This is okay. I had been looking for some original Georgetown Pottery brush scuttles and, once found, made the purchase. One scuttle goes back to 2009. I am still in for razors/blades/soaps/brushes; however; if I see unique piece of pottery, I will make the purchase.
I understand. I'm still going to try and stay on a no buy with a very short list of items that I will fall off the wagon for.
