1. Wow! Fantastic! It takes all the best twin blade cartridges which IMHO provide some of the best shaves for catridge razors. I occasionally shave my head with twin blades. Very smooooth. Enjoy :)
  2. Knot a problem! image.jpeg
  3. Yeah I've noticed that my 'sweet spot' as far as cartridge razors goes are non-flexing/pivoting two-blade ones. :)

  4. Those are the old ("original") Polsilver blades from Poland. The W logo on the package stands for Wizamet, the factory in Lodz. Discontinued now, though shaving.ie apparently still has some in stock. The blue Polsilver Super Iridium are made in Russia.

  5. Better - Worse ?
  6. I have not used the old Polsilver, so I can't tell you from my own experience. From what I have read, some say they perform about the same, some say the old ones were a little bit better. Amazingly enough nobody said the old ones were worse than the SI.

  7. Got my razors today. I had the seller throw in two razors that are missing parts. The one is a Big Fellow gold that is missing the top cap and stem screw, and the other is a 20's old type missing the ball end on the handle. The Eclipse looks to chrome or nickle plate with a lot of plating loss on the handle. It will probable go for a replated. The Grand Shave King will clean up well, it is in great shape. I wonder if I will be able to find parts for the Big Fellow?

  8. I'm thinking a single ring top cap should fit.
  9. Picked up another Avon Super Shaver. I had one already but the plastic head has some discoloring and a small crack. This one was still in the box and full of aftershave. I took the picture with one of my Aristocrats for scale.

  10. The Super Thin blades used to be my favourites. I ordered them from Singapore but I believe they're made in Thailand

  13. There's a brush too.

  14. Yup - I got the brush first and then it seemed to take me forever to get my first razor and now a second razor in much better condition.

I've also got a Gentleman's Regent mug and aftershave decanter but not the matching brush. I've seen them plenty of times but they're always priced higher than what I'm willing to pay for one.
  15. +1
Care must be taken to remove the knot without putting any force on the brush top. Ive killed two of the ten or so ive done. I do like that handle shape though.....good luck with your restore.

  17. I can't pass these things up. I bought an old shaving kit that looks like a book when on a shelf.

Pull the center portion out of the sleeve and I have a kit with everything from button hook to a razor.

The razor was what excited me the most. It's in very nice condition.

This knocks me out of NB'16, but I'm pretty excited about this one. I got the entire set for $19.95 plus shipping

  20. Thanks, I was very excited when I got it for the opening price. I can't let you get all of the good ones
