  1. Hopefully they will ship to the UK soon. I could become the UK distributor.
  2. So you flipped your lid? :happy068:
  3. That's one of the greatest things about living here is the food, we have fantastic Asian and of course Latino restaurants. Along with all of the other excellent types of vittles. Every time we go to eat in Little Saigon (San Jose Vietnamese area) I sweat like no tomorrow, I love me some Pho..

  4. PM @Salty Belle I'm sure she will get your choice of shaving soap to you. :happy088:
  5. I am so jealous. ;)
  6. Will do thank you. Do you hold any English soaps in high regard? They are much easier for me to get I've been looking at geo f trumper, Taylor of old Bond Street and floris of London although that is very expensive £24 for a refill
  7. I cheated last night. I was coughing pretty bad. Winter is rough on me with all the woodstoves lit pumping out locust wood, walnut and chestnut smoke. So I used a system.

    Gillette Fusion HydraGel Ultra Sensitive
    Gillette Fusion Power(not turned on)
    Gillette Fusion HydraSoothe ASB

2 pass with not even enough pressure to make the spring in the head flex gave me a BBS. It's regrowing faster then normal. First pass was N/S 2nd pass was S/N. No irritation but it was too easy. I'll only use this when I don't feel up to traditions shaving. Blood sugar shakes, coughing fits and hospitalization. It felt wrong using a cartridge. My face doesn't like it.

  8. On the back of your confession I have one. I'm yet to do it but I keep looking at my wife's 2 blade disposable. Just wondering what I could achieve.

  9. I don't have any of those soaps, however, I've seem them posted in SOTD and Focus posts. Sorry I can't help.

  15. Thanks that is one I've been eyeing up. I know there are other forums for this info but I've come to trust everyone's opinion on this group. Much appreciated, it's a great price as well. I also fancy the eton college although eton college is frowned upon in the UK :D

  16. That is the best thing I have seen all day. Added a lot of humor to an otherwise rough day!

  17. Tom, I don't think you could go wrong with any of the TOBS creams. In my limited experience, they perform as well as creams costing much more. I started DE shaving using TOBS Avocado. I picked up the Sandalwood along the way, and I prefer its scent over the Avocado.

As far as English soaps go, the only one I've used is Mitchell's Wool Fat. It worked best for me as a shave stick. It wasn't a standout, but I had to try it based on everything I had read.

  18. A lot of people may not think it, but SE Texas is a great location to be a good eater. We have Asian food that rivals a lot of what I used to get in San Francisco area (in fact the best Vietnamese restaurant I have been to), access to good BBS, TexMex, more traditional Mexican, and Cajon & Creole food. I moved here from NorCal almost 8 years ago, and then promptly put on 20 lbs or so. I have been working hard to get some of that off ever since.

  19. +1 on the TOBS. I love the TOBS Eton College; it is easy to lather and provides a great shave.

I did have work a bit more with the Fat, but once I got it dialed in, it too was a good performer.
