I ordered this 24mm white horse hair brush from Vigshaving from China.

*this will be my first real horse hair brush

Never tried anything on the list so I am excited for them to get here and see what all the fuss is about!

 

Picked up another small shaving lot for $15 that will be fun to check out when it gets here next week.
It contains;
- One NIB Merkur MII,
- One Col Ichabod Conk "Pure bristle" shaving brush, and
- One pewter scuttle made in Sheffield.



I already have a couple of Merkur MIIs so I know I'll like that one and on the other side of the spectrum is the Col Ichabod Conk brush that is pretty much a toss-away.


The thing that I'm most curious about is the pewter scuttle. Looks great I think.

 

I've ordered the same brush. It's on the way!

That razor and scuttle combo would look great on some SOTD'S!

 

Amazon had a decent price on a Feather AS D2 so of course I ordered one $141 US shipped.

 

Thanks yeah I'm really looking forward to putting the scuttle to use.
I'm thinking it being pewter it should be able to hold/keep heat pretty well.

Just picked up a Merkur 39c "Sledgehammer" slant on Amazon for less than $40 and free shipping.

 

You will love it! Plenty of backbone,soft as a feather, heavy with a custom brush feel.

It's been a busy month-I've got a few things coming my way.
A puck of Tabac, slowly making it's way across the Pacific
200 Voskhod Blades coming from Mother Russia-my daily driver blades that are thankfully some of the cheapest around.
100 Personna Platinum's (my "special shave" de's)
2 pucks of B&M unscented and 1 puck of Chiseled Face Trade Winds (Men's essentials Canada was having a sale)
A couple samples coming in the mail.

I tell myself these were all bought at the right time to save money, but my credit card is still somewhat warm to the touch right now. Have to reign in my consumerist habits.
