Prep - Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam
Razor - GEM Micromatic Clog Pruf
Blade - Personna GEM SE Stainless (#6)
    Brush - Vie-Long 04312 Cachurro Horse
    Soap - OSP Bay Rum
After - Frozen towel / Alum & WH Mix
    Result - BBS

For me, there really isn't a better feeling in shaving than removing the frozen towel from my face after a good shave. To neither feel nor see any hint of stubble is just fantastic. Well I beat that feeling today! OSP Bay Rum - WOW! .........just WOW!
This is a first for me on both fronts, the manufacturer and the scent. This is everything I want in a soap, lather, lubrication, comfort, it's all there, especially after feel, where it has excelled. This is just beautiful!
I shaved throughout December with the Fat Handled Tech, and all this month with the Clog Pruf. The difference in stubble length afterwards is now conclusive to me. Both leave me as always, BBS, but the SE has obviously acted as a straight does and affected follicle lift, allowing a closer cut. 48 hours after the SE, I've the same stubble as I have 24 after a DE shave.
I'll still never give up my DE's though!

Prep: Hot Shower/ Dove Men's Face Scrub
    Pre-Shave: Proraso White Cream
Soap: Barrister & Mann Latha Sandalwood
Brush: Manhandled Wood Shop 24mm Boar
    Razor/ Blade: Gillete Tech/ Elios (2)
    Astringent: Witch Hazel
    Post-Shave: Nivea Sensitive Balm
    Aftershave: Captain's Choice Sandalwood
Good shave today. The Tech is very mild. I only did two passes and come to think of it I should've done three. Overall it was a nice shave though. The Sandalwood scent of this is not sandalwood at all--it smells fruity. Still smells great, but definitely not sandalwood. Also, thought I loaded up enough soap and had the lather dissipate on me, but that is my fault. I really enjoy the Captain's Choice aftershave and the sandalwood scent is fantastic. Headed out to Chicago today!

    Day 4 of cheapskate shaves.

    Razor: Gillette copper top Tech.
    Blade: Personna blue(4)- 1st on 2nd edge.
    Oil: Secret Shave
    Soap/lather: Equate in can.
After shave: Nivea after shave balm.

Same routine, shave one entire side with WTG/XTG/ATG down to apple. Same routine other side. The 2nd pass is thinner lather and mostly ATG, with small strokes where needed. By paying great attention and working slowly with the Tech I actually came out with, IMO, a BBS. I noticed Nivea after shave balm in Walmart the other day, and tried it out this morning. Sure is different than a gel. Think I kinda like it better, but time will tell. Two more shaves on this test. I was going to run a second de blade ( persona red), but that seems a little much and there are some other combos I want to try. I will do a final price test on the injector blade and the de blade. Would comparing the cost of shaving with de blades to injector blades be like apple & oranges? Those who want to weigh in, please do.

    With respect, Bill

    image.jpeg Razor: Gillette 195 Fat Boy (f1) 1960 (3) (5)
Brush: Jerusalem Olive Wood/WD Silvertip 24/48
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream: Truefitt&Hill Grafton
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, Old Spice original Shulton 1956 glass AS Stopper #3

Whipped up a thumb nail size dollop of the T&H in my favorite mug with the Silvertip. The FB is hard to put away for another razor, because it shaves me so well. It's weight does all the work. WTG on my face on (5), XTG ATG on my face and neck on 3. Nice and slick lather and with my FB on 3 for my neck I can buff a little on the hard to get to spots for a very nice smooth shave. Great cucumber smell with the WH, and then some soothing JB. After cleanup some Vintage Old Spice AS from 1956. Perfect! Have a good one y'all.

    Hello All, today's SOTD as follows;

1930's Gillette #77 set RFB New razor.
    Shark Super Chrome blade.
Cheap Chinese Badger brush. (And I mean cheap!).
    Santa Maria Novella shaving soap.
    Nivea post shave balm.
    Vintage English Leather AS splash.
    Vintage English Leather cologne.

Today's shave was what I would categorize as a flop. I used two things for the first time today. The Santa Maria Novella soap wouldn't lather for me, and the new brush is totally ghetto. I tried to break the brush in last night, I washed it with dish detergent, then once it was mostly dry, I washed it again with hair shampoo. The thing was still discoloring the water and stunk like adhesive/critter. Very floppy too. Also the soap was unlatherable. I shaved for two passes and gave up. I got an SAS for my troubles. Here's the photo-

    MWF (Cavendish infused)
    CH2 Synthetic
    '58 Fat Boy (7)

    Floïd Blue

    Have a great day!
4th shave with the same gear here in Mississippi. The MWF, which I infused with Cavendish Tobacco, continues to impress. The CH2 Synthetic COULD become my favorite brush. (Did I just say that??) It's super soft; loads easily; splays well (Note: I do not use this technique of splaying with any of my natural hair brushes); and it holds plenty of soap for three luxurious passes. I only brought 7 blades with me on this trip, so I am going to really push the envelope and go for 5 shaves before changing.
What can you say about Floïd Blue? While I wish the scent lasted a bit longer, it is a very refreshing way to finish a shave. (Glad that back in December, I stocked up...:angelic007:)

I'm curious how you infused the tobacco into the MWF? Did you mix in a cavendish soap, or actual tobacco, or essential oils? It's very cool no matter what.
