Pretty new to wet shaving. Just got a razorock bazooka yesterday so I had a chance to try it out today. Razorock bazooka Rapira platinum lux blade Proraso shave cream Had a little trouble aligning the blade but other than that, it was a pretty smooth shave to me. Granted I don't have as much experience as some of you but I really like this . The weight makes it so easy to shave with and I didn't get any irritation or nicks.
I have the RR bazooka myself. I love the handle and pair it with some heads from my other razors. I too had alignment problems with it. The handle alone is worth the price but it is solidly built all around. Enjoy @buddha1200
For twenty bucks, that's a nice hunk of stainless steel. Even if it has alignment issues. OK, now I believe ya!
These look cool. I got a black handled one from Gifts&Care one or two years ago (they stopped selling them shortly after). The alignment was terrifying
One of the hardest things for me to learn was light pressure. I heavy razor makes it easier to shave with light pressure. I also prefer heavier razors. Sounds like you are off to a good start.
Going to try different heads on it because I love the weight of the handle. The alignment wasn't that bad figured it out in a few minutes. Now just to figure out what head to try next.
I haven't tried any "New" razors. All mine, DE's or straights, are vintage. I guess thread is the limiting factor? Vintage American made ought to be Imperial Standard threads. Are European made Metric threaded? That old 3-piece Gillette Tech has a tiny little handle...
