Fantastic shave. The more I use this Flare Tip the more I'm sold on the milder razors, which only means that I've finally figured out how to use my tools. TTT. I love Route 66 Retro Spice! Such an awesome scent, so slick that my blade glides across my face. Fabulous skincare. The Maggard synthetic has that custom look and feel. Shady Past was a nice change this morning. Route 66 Retro Spice aftershave lotion is going to be a huge hit!!

Very pleasant have today. The StJofL products are nice, especially the cologne. Big fan of that one. The Gillette/Astra combo is so good for me too. Very smooth and effective. So I"m ready to go. Going out of town with the wife to celebrate our anniversary this week-end. See y'all next week. Now go enjoy your day folks.

The PSO was pretty nice. I have never used it before. It took just a small squirt that I rubbed into my wet face. It was a positive addition to my shave. It has a great lime scent, and being water soluble, it washes off clean. It is an 11 oz bottle and should last a very long time.

Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Gillette Black Tip, CMON Filarmonica Doble Temple straight razor
    Blade: PolSilver Super Iridium (6)
    Brush: RazoRock Plissoft Monster
    Soap: RazoRock - Don Donato
After: Home made ASB, Nivea for Men cooling after shave lotion

Happy Friday! I saw the RazoRock Plissoft Monster brush in one of the threads and was intrigued. Today was it's maiden voyage. The handle on the brush is huge and heavy. The synthetic bristles are super soft. The 26mm knot is huge. Luckily I use a large dip warmer/cooling bowl as my scuttle. The brush did a nice job building the lather and was soft as velvet putting the lather on my face. If you are looking for a large brush with a soft synthetic knot and a decent backbone, then this is a brush worth trying out.

    Have a blessed day!

Nice Long Comb OC. Great example of the Gillette "NEW" variety. I like the LC slightly more than the SC of the same era both are great shaving razors.

The Blue Tip is a nice and mild shaver. I have not gotten a bad shave out of it.

Troy, every time I see one of your bathroom SOTD photo I'll be thinking of your recent admission.
As per your comment here "Sometimes I don't want to have to explain to my wife what the shutter noises are when I am in the bathroom with my shirt off and a towel wrapped around my waist."
I'm wondering that one day with mirrors present and the propensity for towels to slip, that we may see more of you than we ever wanted to. :happy097:
