Saw these guys live last year at the Sonisphere Festival in Hamburg, together with Slayer and Metallica - just incredible.

 

While preparing for whatever the snow storm brings to Virginia, Captain Beefheart:

But right now, I'm listening to Vince Gill's cover of Bill Monroe's classic Blue Moon of Kentucky—Vince Gill has such a soothing singing voice. (I also love bluegrass!)

The Pixies were my super fave in HS, I bought a fender jazz bass and tried to play just like Kim Deal. Thanks for the good memories!

The Pixies are coming to Berlin this summer, playing a show in "Zitadelle Spandau" in July. I think about going, but the tickets are insanely expensive, starting at around $80

 

I'm in my room, on the other end of the house, and I hear that stupid "dum dum dum dum dum dum" music from my landlady watching Oprah's Super Soul Sunday or some such nonsense. But, soon, I'll hear the *ding* of the toaster oven when my cheap frozen chicken patty is done, and I can toss a couple of Eggos into the toaster & make an instant chicken waffle sammich thingie.
