January 29 Razor: Gillette 1958 Executive adjustable Blade: Feather (3) Brush: Stirling Kong Soap: Tabac Post: Cold water rinse, Witch Hazel, Fine Platinum Same basic shave as yesterday. It worked so well, why mess with a good thing. Well, it went great again today. Another excellent shave with the Tabac and the Feather. Near BBS with no irritation at all. Would have been BBS if I spent a little more time on touch up but I was moving slow this morning. Since it was basically the same shave, I went with basically the same picture too.
Thank you. I like aggressive razors, and the DOC is not as aggressive as some, but I find it very efficient. My shave today is on a par with my best performing SE's and DE's. Thank you. One must remember that it is an inexpensive razor. The plating is excellent quality. If there is one gripe, it is that the knurling is a little rough, but that is the way it is designed.
I came very close to making that same mistake. I saw it in the dollar store, but decided to check out the reviews first, and i'm glad I did. The good news is that it is only $1 but it is still frustrating.
TGIF everyone! The Feather gave me another excellent shave today. I'm looking forward to the weekend and hope you all have a good one!
Saturday's TESC Pre-Shave Oil Geo. F. Trumper Limes SC Jayaruh #36 Horse Edwin Jagger DE89 Voskhod CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Cucumber WH GFT Sandalwood SF I prepared my face with The Executive Shave Co. Pre-Shave Oil. I took a little dab of Geo. F. Trumper Eucris Shaving Cream and smeared it onto my face. It face-lathered very well with my Jayaruh #36 horse hair brush. It just burst into lather. Two passes with my Edwin Jagger DE89 razor and a Voskhod blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and then Geo. F. Trumper Sandalwood Skin Food. The sandalwood scent is very light, and the skin food is soothing. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I am not good describing scents, but the Eucris SC has a light manly scent. Here are the ingredients:
Saturday's Expected Shave Pre-Dove Care + for Men(in shower) Shave-Rise Super Foamy(going easy over the cut area-maybe Rise will be better for it) Razor-a NEW Sensor 2 DisposeABLE(that is..same Gillette, but I think the one this morning caused the cut) A.S.-Rise Cooling Balm-
My horse is a brother to yours. It is very different from boars and badgers, but I am learning how to use it. I like it better than my Vie Long that I piffed away.
SHAVE OF the day Prep: Occams crushed lime Razor: Gillette superspeed flair tip Blade: Super-Max titanium Brush: RazoRock plissoft Soap: SV Mana Di Sicilia Post: Folsom & CO Black Powder 2 pads shave with a 3rd pass on neck. First time with SV soap, the scent reminds me of MWF but a bit more complex. It made a great slick lather with little effort. Finished off with Black Powder which is the first F&C aftershave I tried of theirs, and ended up liking every scent they make. Great stuff. Hope everyone had a nice shave!

Finishing January on my feet! Razor - Mongoose Blade - (3) Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip Soap - Tabac Post - Cold rinse, Alum, Nivea, The Veg Stayed with the Mongoose another day, just rotated brush and soap. Two passes to a DFS as is normal with this razor. So, decided to try a third pass. Happy to say the baby showed up in the end. Alum was a bit hot but not too bad. Finished with the Veg after everything to try and keep the sales luck running. Not a great day, not a horrible day so I'll continue to stay the course. Hoping to get back to the Rabbit on Sunday morning. I feel like I'll be able to handle it again by then without shaking the blade all over my face. Enjoy your weekend!
Still enjoying wet shaving even after being absent from here 6-7 years, I haven't run out of shave products that I collected at the height of shaving Acquisition Disorders. My Normal Shave today. Merkur slant with a Feather Blade Crabtree & Evelyn Almond Shave Cream (Discontinued Item) Whatever brush I happened to grab from the cabinet Witch Hazel After Shave I ran an extra pass with a Feather ACD-N Straight and Professional Blades since I was going out tonight. I'm asking my finance in Japan to pick me up feather blades and bring them next time she comes to the U.S. Feather Blades are 1/2 the price in Japan of what they cost in the U.S.
