I had an X-ray last night, I have a rib cage pull. I also gave a urine sample to check to see if I have kidney stones.

 

I'm down to a tiny amount of paper towels this morning. Good thing I'll be doing my major grocery shop today. What's that Beatles song about scrimping and saving? Right, "When I'm 64". Well, I'm singin that baby 6 years early this morning about my paper towel supply.

 

Not good. Hope it turns out to be something relative

Umm... Rib cage pull? Whazzat? Hopefully easily mended!

Nope it's a real washing machine! Samsung (German solidity). 'Eco bubble' or something. Uses less water and electricity, is more silent and such. And it even cleans clothes!

 

Y'know, "port-a-potty" would sound funny coming from a Bostonian-it'd be "pawta-pawty".

 

I've heard it "viva voce" and yes, it's hilarious.

Braved the downtown crowds - estimated to be a million people next week - around the "Super Bowl City" as it was a beautiful day and friends spoke of beer and food.


A weekend-traditional cold cider whilst waiting for a friend.


The Super Bowl City turned out to be a bit of a bore so we ditched it and went for some chicken Shawarma at Oasis Grill. A classic stand-by for cheap, quick and good.

 

Time to get out of town!
San Pedro Square in downtown San Jose has been transformed into a football field. Grass, lines and all.

 

Very cool. Too bad there are no interesting teams playing

 

During one of my vacations in Rocky Mtn. Nat'l Park(probably 20 years ago, I believe)I slipped and fell, landing on my chest. The thin air contributed to my fall being a little more dangerous than had it happened at sea level. I had an x-ray done on the area when I got back to D.C. Fortunately nothing serious, but between the fall and the X-ray results I certainly thought something MIGHT be serious.

 

Ouch!

Add some ice to that burn!

The spiritual nature of my city and county has taken a leap! The weather guys are predicting 6-12 inches of blowing snow for Monday. Teachers and students all over town are praying fervently for a snow day!

 

I guarantee you there wasn't this much excitement for the Super Bowl when it was in East Rutherford, NJ.

 

It is t-shirt weather here in Distraction. Seriously contemplating breaking out the short-britches.

 

Yup, nearly 80 yesterday, last day of January, and now today, very warm, first day of February....(hint, hint )
