    Hi Friends,

today i had a "Full-Tilt Pino Silvestre" Shave:

Pino Silvestre Shave Soap / GEM Micromatic Bullet Tip / GEM Stainless (4) / Rubberset Replica w. 25mm Shavemac Silvertip / T.N. Dickinson´s Witch Hazel / Pino Silvestre AS / Pino Silvestre EdT

Wow!!! That´s the only thing i can say right now. I received a sample of the soap from a friendly member in our German Forum. The ones of you, who know the shower bath of Pino Silvestre and know the scent...THAT IS EXACTLY THE SAME SCENT!!! Absolutely awesome. The lather is very easy to build, lasts for a long time and gives very good slickness and cushion. Another positiv aspect of the soap is, that the soap cooles on your skin. Menthol isn´t mentioned on the ingredient list, but it´s very good noticable. Nice.

The Bullet Tip is a wonderful razor. I used my GEM Stainless Blade today for the 4th time and the blade is still great. Just like the first shave with it. No pulling, tugging or anything. I read somewhere, that the Bullet Tip is "the Super Speed of the SE-Razor´s". That´s true. It shaves so gentle and thoroughly...stunning.

I´m smelling like a Pine wood now, which i love.

Have a great time and a great shave. Take care.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

    Good morning TSD ;)

    My sunday shave:

    - Meißner Tremonia Woody Almond
    - Semogue OC
    - Parker 87R
    - GSB (#2)
    - Tüff sensitiv

The guy who owns this razor said that with the Parker he can get shaves that are just as close as the ones from his Mühle R41, but much much smoother. To prove this claim he started a passaround on the German Wet Shaving forum. I received this razor yesterday.

    Astonishing shave today!

This razor is mild. And I mean VERY mild - if I should rate razor aggressiveness by numbers, I'd say my 1960ies Gillette Tech is a 1, Mühle R89 a 2, a Merkur 34c a 3. This Parker is a 0.5. If there hadn't been some acoustic feedback I would have thought that I just wiped the lather off my face with the safety guard. First pass WTG I did not feel the blade at all.

Second pass A and XTG there was a bit more blade feedback, but still a very very smooth shave. And pretty close as well - boderline BBS with 2 passes and the usual touchup.

Fact is: I can get a BBS or at least DFS+ shave in two(and a half) passes from almost any razor. The more interesting question is: How long does it last? In terms of longevity not much comes close to the R41 ... maybe the Futur on a higher setting.

    Guess I'll know more tonight.

    Have a great sunday.

THE GSB BLADE FELT SUPER SMOOTH IN THIS MERKUR 15C AND THE PRORASO MADE SOME BEAUTIFUL COOLING FACE LATHER. PRORASO HAS TO ME A MEDICINAL TYPE OF SCENT BUT I FIND IT VERY COMFORTING AND SOOTHING. YOU HAVE ALL BECOME DEAR FRIENDS TO ME, SO FOR TODAYS PHOTO I WANTED TO ENGAGE YOU ON A PERSONAL LEVEL AND FIND A WAY TO BRING YOU INTO MY PHOTO EXPERIENCE WITH ME. I HOPE IT PLEASES YOU. HAVE A GREAT SHAVE AND A GREAT DAY FRIENDS. :)

    GOOD SUNDAY MORNING TSD! 01/31/16

    Razor-Unknown Brand Trac II Handle
    Blade-Dollar General Trac II/Atra
    Brush-VDH Boar
    Lather-Body Nature Stone Wash
    Three Passes-Wtg,Xtg,Atg
    Post Shave-Cold Water Rinse
    Witch Hazel,Old Spice A/S

So last night when I was trying to decide what to shave with this morning I saw this Trac II handle and thought why not!
I put a Dollar General Blade on,($1.50 for six) lathered up The Stone Wash Soap and did my three passes.
Boy was I surprised! I got a very close and comfortable shave ,I thought with that handle being longer than a wet week I might have trouble but not so.
All topped off with the Old Spice A/S ( also bought at the Dollar General $5.45 on sale I need to stay out of those stores!!lol).
So when all is said and done I ended up with a BBS shave which= One Happy ILTS!!:happy108:

HAVE A GREAT SUNDAY EVERYONE!!:) DSCF0081.JPG

    Seville Sunday
Nice two pass shave today. It's not quite as close as I usually like it, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I started and finished with Van Yulay - PSO and Shuyak Island splash. My face feels great.
This has been a great month with Barrister & Mann. I did not finish my jars of Ferox, Rhapsody, or Lavanille. I'm not mad, since that just means I'll have more shaves with them in days to come.
    Prep: Van Yulay PSO
    Soap: B&M Seville
    Brush: HIS Lather Monster
    Razor: der Futur
    Blade: Voskhod (2)
    AS: Van Yulay Shuyak Island

Sunday: Day 17 of my second round of blade testing

    Prep:
Hot Shower, Nivea Moisturizing Face Wash
    Brush: @Jayaruh #33 Horsehair
Lather: Ginger's Garden Lavender Herbal with clay and mango butter
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Croma Diamant (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, XTG (4, 5, 6)
Post: Cold water rinse, Bloc Osma alum, Thayer's Witch Hazel pad, Ginger's Garden Lavender Herbal aftershave splash
Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d' Orange

This shave did not start off auspiciously. A sudden muscle spasm while I was moving the blade from the RAKE to the 41c resulted in a nasty little cut next to the fingernail of my right middle finger. Though I had been rotating between my four brushes to this point, I decided to go back to the #33 to try to dial in the lather a bit more. This started with a technique I rarely use: palm lathering. The lather for the first pass was much better. The lather for the next two passes was not as good. As for the blade itself, I'm pretty convinced that - though it has yet to nick me while shaving - the Croma Diamant is not my ideal blade. To my sensibilities, it shaves much more like an SS blade than a platinum-coated blade. I have no doubt that some would find that a selling point. DFS+ results, despite the aforementioned issues.
