    Good morning TSD

    My first february shave:

    rdt12.jpg

I did not try to achieve the closest shave today but rather test the limits of this razor - how mild can it be? I did everything you should NOT try at home ;) Used quite a bit of pressure, shaved about 15 times over certain spots of my face ... seems as if it's virtually impossible to hurt yourself with this thing. In this particular area it behaves pretty much like a cartridge razor. So 2-15 passes mostly W and XTG resulted in a DFS with next to no irritation (hardly felt the aftershave).

    Have a great monday :happy088:

    Prep: Hot Shower. Noxzema
Razor: Gillette Super Speed Flare Tip TV Special 1958 D3
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue
    Lather: Monsavon Bol à Raser
    Brush: Semogue 830
Post: Thayers Cucumber WH. Gold Bond Ultimate
    Aftershave: Gingers Garden Aventus
Nice shave. Monsavon Bol à Raser is like Noxzema and Proraso hooked up. Nice stuff. I'm a big fan of Gingers Garden aftershaves, healing, soothing and overall excellent.

Great shave yesterday using some classic gear.

    Razor- 1956 gillettte super speed.
    Blade- Shark super chrome
    Soap- Palmolive shave
    Brush- Vie Long
Aftershave- Florida water mixed with a small amount of thayer's lemon witchhazel.

I was really surprised when I first got this superspeed at how small they are. They are often spoken of as being really mild, however I find this razor to be more of a medium razor in regard to it's aggression.

    Thanks!
More grapefruit than patchouli, but I like the scent. Lathers up nice. Only used it twice so far, both days had a lot of irritation, but I am playing with technique too, so its probably my fault, not the soap.

My shaves this week will be decided by the weather-so strange to have it feel like spring in February. Also decided by the healing process of my chin cut(yes, from shaving). Anyway, for today it was:

Pre-Dove Care+ for Men (in shower)
Shave-Rise Super Foam(light on the cut area, but no pain-good sign!)
    A.S. Rise Cooling Balm

hot water wash with nivea men's face wash and a washcloth
FS Pur tech/ whipped dog handle
    soap commander vision
    J.A.Henckels #81 4/8 full hollow French tip?
    ICED Aqua Velva ice blue
today's shave was ok. decent lather with the pur tech and vision. three passes with the spotted emperor. good shave, but not a great shave. finished with iced ice blue.
hope y'all did as well, or better.
