No sir, don`t ever quit, shaving for me is probably the highlight of the day (being advanced in age... if you get my drift) I am by no means an expert on anything, but may I suggest 2 different alternatives, an injector, I believe the schick j1 is the smoothest and easiest to maneuver and the Gillette super Speed (any year, their about the same), maybe an oil base to start with.

    Good luck, Bill

You are all probably bored to death with my SOTD photos. (This is all you're going to see through February 20!)
After 10 shaves with this set up, it's safe to say I am on a roll. I can even venture an ATG pass on both sides of my lips. (Normally a dangerous maneuver) I figure that if I re-apply the Floïd Blue 3 times during the day, I will finish this bottle by September. ;)
    Have a great day!

    Brush: e-shave finest Badger
Mug: Old Spice (Belgium Mug 01) 1970s
Cream: The Body Shop Maca Root cream
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, Vintage Avon Trazarra 1978 AS

Put a dab of Maca Root into my OS Belgium Mug. It took me a long time to find this beauty. The Badger whipped up some nice warm lather. My Futur is a great looking razor, and on 1.5 it works great for me. I'm really happy with way it gives an effortless shaves. It made quick work in 2 passes WTG XTG. A little touchup on my neck ATG and done. The WH felt good, nice and fresh. After cleanup some JB and when it dried, some Trazarra AS for a change of pace. I really like this razor. Y'all have a good one!

    Razor - Edwin Jagger
    Blade - Wilkinson Sword
    Brush - Pilsson synthetic
    Lather - I Coloniali
Aftershave - Nivea moisterising aftershave balm.

I've been using my Edwin Jagger lately and been getting some great shaves lately. I forgot how good this razor is. I always saw it as the first safety razor I and learned with until I moved onto better razor.
But this is a fantastic razor itself. It pairs great with a Wilkinson Sword blade, (then again what doesn't, ) and I'm really enjoying using it again.

The Proraso Green Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #36 horse hair brush. Two passes with my Gillette Rocket razor and an Astra SP blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and then Dove Men+ Post Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Somedays the shaving gods are not with you. Today was one of them. I broke out a Schick G1 I had never used and I didn't like anything about the shave other than the final result was pretty good. On the third pass I tried comparing it with a duplicate G1 I have and it was smoother but then left me with a slice out of my cheek near my goatee area. Yeah, I may have been rushing it a bit but what the... :angry019: From here on out I'll be sticking with Personna blades in my Type G Schicks. They change the shave of a Type G dramatically.

I had a fantastic two-pass shave this morning, and I hope you all did as well. A near-BBS shave is almost natural with the Weber, and it has a nice, sure feel in the hand. I had another good, but not an exceptional, lather using the synthetic brush. I'm beginning to think I'll never conquer it. My favorite thing about it is the handle! The Fine L'Orange Noir is a great finish to my shave, and my Bride likes it too.

    Williams Wednesday
The Schick Canadian E w/ Ivory handle is a beast, and I was glad I used Williams today. The slickness and cushion is much needed using this razor. Remember when you were a newbie and the gurus told you to use no pressure. Using this razor you think you are ot even touching your face as it glides effortlessly slicing whiskers. My problem areas did not need any extra touchups and I was BBS & AGAIG.
