I was just going to suggest the same thing! I got one about a week and a half ago and find that it is very forgiving but still gives a great shave.

Quite a wide range of scents between black liquorice from the Black Ice soap which has such great lather with a good chilly punch and brilliant skincare - no wonder it's one of Rod's best selling soaps. Then, there's the medicinal scent of the Gold Bond moisturizer which is so moisturizing, cooling, and soothing. Last but not least, there's the Shambala aftershave which is a magnificent, long-lasting citrusy scent which also gives a good deal of menthol goodness and a refreshing, soothing post-shave feeling! ;) :D

    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Lather: Soap Commander Vision
Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm

Easy CCS this morning. I have a few hairs on my neck near the Adam's apple that are stubborn but I let them slide for the sake of time as well as fear of irritation.

The Soap Commander Vision is a great product - nice, bright scent with good lathering and slickness. The post shave feel is great.

Hope you all have a great Thursday!

    Blade: 7am Platinum (2nd shave)
    Brush: RazoRock plissoft
    Soap: vintage Royal London
    Post: OsageRub/ Arko Maximum Comfort

Had a great 2 pass shave today. The blade felt a bit more rough than last time. Still ended up being a very close smooth shave. It's either Blade itself or the Razor combination. Certain blades seem to work better in different razors. This Royal London soap is something I found in a local antique store. I have not seen another one, and there is very little information about this soap. The lather is so good that I think it was way worth the $10 I got it for. It makes a lather that is on par with some of the best soaps I have tried (which is quite a lot). Very nice tallow soap. The container has notches on the bottom to help keep soap dry, but I dry it out anyways. The Arko balm is pretty good stuff for the price, but there are many artisan brands I prefer, but if you are on a budget Arko is the way to go. Hope everyone had a great day!

Apologies to Sara for not using this shave soap more often. This is the BEST smelling Lavender-Mint shave soap I have come across. I have such a large soap rotation and feel guilty at times for not reaching for it. Sara would know better when this was available which I believe was a limited run but I think this one has been in my den since August or September 2013. One of those that I look at as a "possible" to thin down the herd, but it smells so damn good I refuse to let it go. She hit the perfect ratio Lavender to mint on this one.

Glad to hear you like F&C aftershaves, they have great longevity scent wise, and nice skin care. I would compare it to Fine aftershave as well.

I have seen that Arko balm and wondered about the quality. Glad to hear that it's decent. They have a good variety of scents.
