Heard out on the shop floor, "If they paid me more, I would work harder." Sheesh. Kids these days. Such a sense of entitlement!
Today I bought a couple of things online for my fish tank. I'm still new to this so I don't know exactly what I'm doing. Luckily for me the owner of the website called me and told me one of the things I ordered I don't actually need. He explained why I didn't need it and we agreed that I would just receive the 1 item from him. This saved me a lot of money. I was amazed as he didn't have to call me. He could of kept quiet and taken my money. As he didn't he will be getting more business from me. It's nice to know there are business owners out there who put their customers before profit.
So far, so good...my latest deposit made it into my savings, all three of my color-tipped razors have been shipped, had a big breakfast and a donut, the sun's shinin' and it's almost 40 degrees. Could be worse.
For the first time in a decade plus - I lost my wallet. Not sure how it happened. Cards are replaceable - albeit inconvenient - but also had the cash equivalence of a couple of WW brushes in it
I actually did - that's the last time I used it. Oh well. Fortunately I at least didn't have the driver's license in the wallet so that's one headache less. Time to stock up on some Ramen noodles.
True...I 'hope' whoever found the wallet have a nice time out on the town. I just spent an hour blocking and re-ordering cards. Guess I'm in the market for a new wallet...that one was 10+ years old.
Wife's,away I guess that brings out the mad scientist in me. Experimenting with nickle plating on a tired brassed re tip. Here is my solution in the making using old real nickle Canadian 5c pieces we call nickels.
Aw, that's a bummer! Had the same thing some 10 years back. Blocked all the cards and then got a call from the guy who found it. They were very honest people. Since there was about 50 bucks of cash in it, I asked them to send the wallet and keep the cash. Hey, I got the first pic back I got from SWMBO, so I wasn't complaining! I ditched that wallet last year as the holes couln't keep anything in it anymore. Now I've got a Secrid wallet. Compact and RFID safe! Neat! Any results?
I have a Secrid wallet too. There a great invention . Although I've list it at the moment. I'm hoping it's around the house somewhere. Thats the only problem with Secrid wallets, they're so small if you lose them they can be hard to find.
I rather like the look and concept of the Secrid RFID blocking wallets. Found a place where I can get one for less than $30 and might just do that Thanks!
