  1. C.O. Bigelow cream is my travel software of choice. :happy088:

And, just because you want to limit your spending this year doesn't mean you can't get one or two things. Just look at the huge difference from last year. It'll still be a huge win! ;)

Broke out my Mystic Waters Lime sample this morning. Last time I used it was a face lather and I wound up with some irritation. Possibly because of some chemical reaction, but it could also have been how long it took me to face lather - seemed like forever. Today's experience was better. Used the scuttle and had a great lather. Slick and creamy. Normal 2 pass shave. It seemed like first couple of passes weren't as efficient as usual on my neck. I did my typical cool water rinse and touch up. I came very close to BBS but at a cost. My neck was red and a little tender. So it appears I chased the baby more than I should have. The Clubman let me know that too.

I still don't know if the Mystic Waters Lime is giving me this post shave dry feeling or if it's because it's 29 outside and the heats on. I'll give it another try tomorrow with a fresh blade and see how it goes. I'll try not to chase the baby too much.

    Hope everyone enjoys their Friday!

Nice and smooth shave today, DFS, almost BBS. Getting a lot better at making lather. Using my left hand for left side isn't a big deal at all. Practicing skin stretching in anticipation of a SR someday. First use of Ghost Town Barber, love it! On the buy a big tub list. Happy Friday!

  6. I'll start my SOTD post out with a plea for sympathy Last night I was going downstairs to plug in my phone and slipped three stairs from the bottom. I launched myself into a wall at the bottom of the stairs and blew a hole in the wall with my hip. My hip, knee and ankle are all pretty sore today and my iPhone screen is shattered. I am happy to report that I could still stand and shave this morning. The Mongoose is providing very nice shaves. I'm still working on angle and pressure.

  9. Ouch! I truly hate when that happens. There are few things in this world I hate more than drywall repair.
  10. Hope your ok now. Something I've noticed since joining the focus is we are an accident prone bunch. Going on statistics we are probably the last people that should be putting razor blades near our heads and faces on a regular basis.
  11. I hope you get better soon.
  12. What's the worst that could happen?
  13. As I was checking the edges on my razors in storage, I noticed this one had some crud on the bevel, so I took it to the Chromeoxide pasted strop, and cleaned it off. I love the weight and size of it. This is an unrestored original Wostenholm EBRO marked Perseverance Works. It dates from 1860-1870, and has the original horn scales and brass pins. Just enough patina to know that it’s been around for 150 years. It also photographs really well. I may have done too many laps on the strop trying to get the crud off, because this razor isn’t as smooth as I remember, but I still got a DFS and most of the whiskers just wiped away.
