I used the Cedar Mandarin today. It was easy to lather with a nice mild scent. The lubrication was excellent and didn't leave my skin feeling dry afterwards. I grated 1/2 of the stick and put warm water on it while I shaved. Mistake. The soap absorbed all the water and turned into a soft cream. Next time I will rub the stick on my face. Excellent stuff though, maybe a notch below MDC. Only con, the scent could be stronger.
as far as scents go I wish the ones I didn't like were mild and the ones I did like were strong what I do now is I go to the health food store and buy concentrated sense that I liked and add a drop or 2 to my shaving leather. Works beautifully
Muhle XL synthetic brush number 35K257. 25mm knot. Gently used $35 usd shipped. Should arrive next week. No guarantees lately with Canada Post.
Just bought the long-handled mate to my short-handled Super Adjustable. Same U4 date code, too. I reckon I just thought I was finished.
Just received Old Spice aftershave from Amazon I thought it was the stuff made in India but I don't think so its..... compared to the original fair at best
If you search for "old spice aftershave shulton" on eBay, you get some hits from India. That should be the stuff? From what I can tell it's marked "Mktd India" in both the box and bottles fine print
If there is a crown on the inside of the lining of the top left of the box it is a Coronation. This looks like the Rhodium 66.great score. It is one of my favourite razors.
I did the same think with Speick. I grated it and added a little water, and now it is a croap, still lathers good though.
If you contact eBay they might be able to help you they might even suspend the buyer's account unless he ships that Razor back. If you need eBay's number let me know sometimes it's hard to find
Thank You. I did finally get the razor. It just took a little longer. The restored razor can be seen in "The Shine Box" thread.
Also, I thought that the coronation version only came in red cases. I've only seen a couple, so I could be wrong.
