This is one of my favorites, a Silex "2-cupper". Introduced in 1942 as a way to extend one's coffee ration. Instead of making a full pot (and risk wasting what wasn't consumed), this little gem makes two 5-ounce cups at a time. Just enough to fill my cobalt mug...
Fresh ground Dirigo Blue Kenya in my Krups drip. Just got a five pound bag o' Kenya beans from Sweet Maria's. I'll be roasting some up before too long.
Been on a drip kick of late. Local grocer has been selling Gevalia Majestic Roast for US$5 for a couple of weeks.
Fresh ground Peet's Aged Sumata in a single serve machine. While less acidic than my usual Peet's Sumatra, I don't think the aging process adds enough value to justify the extra cost. I'll try it in my Bodum French press later, to see if there is enough difference to justify keeping it around (the coffee, not the French press).
Ethiopian Makambo via Kalita Wave pour over. I changed the grind from setting of 10 to 15 for a larger grain and resulted in a smoother cup of coffee with the Makambo.
My coffee Bonavita Brewer and Capresso grinder. Assortment of Italian moka pots (aka stove top espress) and coffee press. Chewex Brewer, Airscape been keeper. and other related paraphernalia.
