  3. image.jpeg Super Bowl Sunday Shave!!
    Razor: Gillette gold toggle (D1) 1958 (5) (3)
Brush: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue Boar
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Soap: Pre de Provence Shea Butter soap
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, Old Spice Lime original Shulton AS Frosted Glass 1960

I have been trying to get this OS boar brush to work for me, since I'm an OS junkie, but I mostly use creams so my soft badgers work great and feel great on my face. I decided to use it on the PDP soap to help me with the lather. Worked great after soaking the PDP for a few minutes in hot water. The brush has softened up a lot and felt good on my face. Special days call for special razors, and to me the toggle is as special as it gets. I believe I'm the only one to have ever shaved with it and It is by far the best shaving razor I have ever used. Two no pressure passes WTG XTG on 5 and one ATG on my neck on 3 with only a slight touchup around the scar on the right side of my neck. Very close, very smooth, no burn shave. The PDP played a role, as it gives a great slick cushion, must be the Shea butter. Cucumber WH felt good, and after cleanup some JB gel, and Vintage OS Lime. Ahhhh!

  7. No shave for me today as I'm traveling back home this afternoon. This week's thread has been active! I look forward to more posts next week.

I'll be back tomorrow with a Menthol Monday edition. Have a great day!

I know it's boring, but this is the set up for the next 2 weeks.
Took a rare day off from shaving yesterday, so I dialed up the Fat Boy to 9.
My MWF is broken up into 5-6 pieces, so I took a chunk and applied it directly to my face. Don't really like this technique, but I am committed to using up these products before going home.
The third shave with the Feather is always smoother than the first and the Floïd Blue always provides a great finish.
    Have a great day!

Traveling with My First Mastro Livi

I am still traveling and yesterday morning I found in a mall this Wilkinson Sword Shaving Soap and, you know it, I bought it. I am very curious about trying every soap or aftershave I happen to see in shops and, although this one is considered a sort of classic shaving soap, I admit I never had the chance to personally try it also because it is not so easy to find it in Italy. This soap is not so bad, however I would not consider it a top notch soap, however it is a good basic soap providing enough cushion and slicking effect, but I find it to lack in the moisturizing effect. As for fragrance, it is what you would get from an "old fashioned" shaving soap, however I like it.

  15. I'm definitely interested to see how those work out for you. They are a personal favorite and, IMHO, probably the best blade that can be locally sourced.

  16. Sunday shave with my new bullet tip. I used an NOS blade just to see if I could.... The blade was not as sharp as a new Personna but with an extra pass I managed a DFS. Have a great day everyone! Go Broncos!!!
