Didn't get around to posting earlier, but my pre-Super Bowl pipe was PS Bullseye in a Lorenzo bent estate pipe.
Peterson Irish Oak in a Falcon. Still meh on the Irish Oak. I think I'll try a bowl of Orlik Golden Mixture after dinner.
How do you like the falcon? That's the metal pipe with interchangeable bowls right? I'm becoming more open minded to such a non traditional pipe and want to try one.
I really like it, so much I ordered a new stem and 3 bowls from the UK. Shipping was expensive and is taking a long time, but it was still a much better price than anyplace I found in the US.

Rereading my sensei's advice todays smoke was a success. I only had to relight the bowl once. I also tried to cure my heathen ways and used a match instead of a lighter.
I still don't post here much but definitely enjoy looking at the pics on this thread I smoke my corncob pipe with some frog morton in it maybe once or twice a week and I enjoy every minute of it, I'm even getting better at it, only need to re-light about 4-5 times now
Received a pipe from piperestorer.com today. A Pioneer african meerschaum probably somewhere betwee 30 and 40 years old. The Pioneer logo on the stem is faint, but still visible. He did a good job of restoring the pipe, a couple of tooth marks on the stem but the pipe's in good shape overall. You can't buy something like this new anymore. I had to try it with some Orlik Golden Mixture, it smoked very well. Piperestorer.com is an interesting site, it appears to be an individual that just likes to restore and resell estate pipes. He only accepts Paypal, and I couldn't get the payment to work using Firefox or Google Chrome, I had to use the Microsoft browser. I'm pretty pleased with this for $36
Ooh, looks great! I love my Peterson African meer, one of my best smokers. I would have grabbed that one too for $36! I'm not sure why african meer is no more. I think I read something about civil war in the source country, but don't recall specifics.
Very nice find! Thanks for sharing the link. OGM is definitely my favorite aromatic in all of tobacco, and a perfect test bowl for a 1970s pipe!
