I didn't notice the soap. I guess I am out too. I bought some blades I guess I didn't really need, I was just out of them, and wanted more. Perhaps I mis-understood the intent of this thread as it evolved, but what seemed like a group of guys, sort of chronicling their year of restraining themselves and working to get more enjoyment out of what they have, with no set rules, has turned into a full blown restraint thread similar to those found on other sites. Good luck and have fun.
I'm still hanging in though I don't know for how long. I dropped my Mitchells's Wool Fat ceramic dish yesterday and it shattered. I need something to put it in.

Thanks for the idea. I grated the edge until it was small enough to fit into a little bowl, then I took the filings and mashed them into the puck. What's more, the MWF lid fits on top, although there's a little play. The colours clash but who cares!
Oh, I'm still in. I didn't sign up originally since I had a No Buy '15, but I still haven't purchased anything yet. Pipes on the other hand, are a different story.. (much to SWMBO's consternation). It's easier to quit if you just trade one aquisition disorder for another
Almost bought a pack of Feather FHS-10 blades for my Valet Auto Strop. ............................but I didn't! STILL IN!
I am still in. I did purchase some TSD soap when I made a donation to TSD. I will purchase more aftershave if I ever run out. Probably won't happen in 2016.
Sitting here half way through Feb. 2016 and the itch for a new soap is pretty well gone. If I can make it through soaps I will be good in the razor/blade/brush/soap area. I am still open to pottery. I am planning a trip to West Texas/New Mexico in the Spring and may run across some nice local area artisans. Several years ago I made a business trip to Alaska and picked up a beautiful lather bowl. A nice bowl and good memories.
In my search for a good pre-shave gel, I discovered a local barber carries Crown Shaving Co supplies, including the pre shave gel. I will continue to exercise prudence as best I can but officially, I'm out!!
I was just gifted a Slim. After Fatboy February is over, I'll have at least a couple of weeks worth of trials with that. First impression is that it's more head heavy than the Fatboy.
Still in. Actually gave my son in law my Merkur 34HD, my synthetic WD (older generation with white and black fibers that WAS my travel brush), a puck I had in my stash of L'Occitane Cade (still have 1 new and one in use). I did buy a styptic pencil, and barbasol brisk and pacific rush AS to give him to start with. So my plan on reducing and not buying (other than to give to SIL) is on target. Plus added another to the fold of DE shavers.
