  2. Todays shave
    [IMG]

Had a Rockin Shave with this setup.

    Razor: Schick E2 thanks @Karl G
    Blade: Chick (1)
    Soap: Tabac
Brush: Pure Boar WD my handle
    Post shave: Osma Block
AS: Ogallala Bay Rum Lime & Peppercorn

This is the first shave with Tabac. It lathered great and very slick. I enjoyed the scent.

As normal I did my 3 pass routine. The E2 just plowed down two days growth. Could have stopped after two passes but wit for the gusto. Finished with a DFS to BBS irritation free shave. You gota love injectors.

  3. Thank you for watching. I know it's probably torture!!! Haha

Oh, got my Rolls Razor in today. I'll post pics up when I can get a chance. I've gotta learn how to clean it up. But it's actually in really good shape. Imperial 2.

    Blade needs honed though.

  10. Its more often than not the case these blades need honing outwith the Rolls System to get them up & running..If the blade has been allowed to deteriorate & loose its edge the Rolls System wont & Cant bring it back..This happens to most folks & they just stick them in the shelf..Its possible but highly unlikely that one is going to pick up one of these sets & get a blade that's going to get shave ready within the Rolls System to begin with unless its NOS or been refurbished..:)

  11. I don't know if U.S. vs Canadian E2 injectors vary. I find the Canadian E2 injector I have takes no prisoners. It's a monster swallowing up a weeks growth of hair with little fan fair. Thanks for the reminder, it's been a while since I've used it.

  14. After that lovely deep blue of the G4 (or G66 if you prefer) Schick went a bit funky on the color for the G5. But, a G is still a G so a change in color makes the shave a bit more interesting than it would otherwise be.

Today's shave was super close and smooth. I've got that silky smoothness all over but it was also treading on being a little too close. A couple of small weepers near the lips but more noticeably, the sting of the Alum block afterwards. No irritation but right at that point where you just know you have a face full of nano-cuts from getting so close. Still, the result is face-rubbing heaven. :happy088:

I'm guessing the culprit on the nearly-over-close was the lather being a little too soupy. I could have possibly slowed down a little and maybe that would have made a difference but I was paying attention throughout and not getting careless. The Bio Palmyra is a tricky cream for me. Sometimes perfect, sometime too thin and dry, and sometimes too wet. I'll keep trying to see if I can find a way to replicate the sweet spot.

  18. I've always been a BIG fan of the Turquoise handle G5....Some these days call it a ladies razor, ha,ha....I'd call it my 'go to' razor, ha,ha....My Uncle had one when I was a kid...I always thought it looked great! Like a rich man's razor..!
Saw one on the 'Bay' the other day...guess it is....}8^))
  19. I've been working my way through my injectors withe purpose of a retry of my E2. My initial try resulted in bloodshed and much general unhappiness. So I went back the mild Lady Eversharp, then worked through the settings on my Adjustable, then the G8. The shaves have been very close. So tomorrow I return to the E.
