I've never seen a spine guard like that. It's part of what caught my eye. Any of you know anything about them?

I believe it's not actually a razor for facial hair.
The spine is a thin cover that you can slide forward.
The Japanese called it a Geishunko which loosely translates to "butt scratcher"

I didnt have the heart to tell him. It is a nice looking Geishunko though.

Hi folks, I am waiting on two more items. The first is a Gillette New LC in a New Standard case. I got it to split up. I need the case for a New Improved razor I have, and I'm going to swap the New LC with one in one of my sets, because this new is nicer looking. I just have to fix the end on it. And the next thing I'm waiting on is a roll of book binding repair tape for fixing the hinges on Single Ring cases. I learned this trick from @preidy in a thread he created about repairing the hinges on Single Ring cases. Here's that photo-
