  2. Guess that is one thing I do like about where I live, all four seasons are pretty equal. Sure, we get our heat waves and cold snaps, but they usually don't last too long. 19 degrees this past Saturday, forecast for 59 degrees next Saturday.
  3. I wish!!!

  6. I lived in Austin seven years, to tell the truth I liked it a lot better than Houston. I left for a better paying job, but maybe that wasn't the wisest decision.
  7. It's nice weather here, thanks to the chinooks. (Temperature in C not F)

  8. Dropped my new Nexus 5x today at church. It fell between some folding chairs and the screen protector got chipped on one edge....man am I glad it had the screen protector in it! The phone is fine though...thank goodness.

  10. I have the lesson manuals and scriptures downloaded on it. I just set it on my leg during a discussion part of Sunday school, and it slipped off.

  12. Well I am strongly considering doing more education. I spoke to a mentor and friend a few months back about a specialized area of accounting (that I didn't know existed) and it seems like a great line to work in.

It is the Chartered Business Valuator program. The difference between the CBV and an accounting designation is the area of expertise you receive for when a business owner wants to sell. Also I will no longer be one of 50,000+ accountants in the province, but rather one of 1000 CBVs in Canada.

The program takes 3 years + practical experience. I'm waiting to hear back from the office regarding the practical experience hours.

Anyway, just had to share. For all you business people, here's the link to the profession: https://cicbv.ca/what-is-a-cbv/

  13. I had an absolutely great day with family. Best Valentine's Day in years spending it with three generations. Good night TSD
  14. True. Great opportunity to learn how to weld...

Is that Fahrenheit or Celcius? Fahrenheit would be a bit too cold for my taste! :Animatedfrozensmily:

  15. Planned to go out for Valentine's day, but changed my mind and stayed home instead. We made Beef Wellington, (first time I've had filet mignon), smashed thyme and garlic fingerling potatoes, and crème brulee.
