  1. I had my shave all planned out for this morning yesterday, but I made a change. I decided to try out The Beehive synthetic I completed last week. It performed very well as a face lathering brush. That was the only change in the line up. The Red Tip did not disappoint either. It is a very efficient razor. A great shave all in all.

Maggard Tobacco & Leather today. 20 seconds to load the oscar11 HMW. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Personna 74 still cruising along. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Tuscan Oud.

  19. I started my weekly regiment. My scaled down version of the 30 day focus. I'm hoping this will assist me in honing my shaving technique.
    SOTD
    Hot water face wash
    Razor -red tip
    Blade - persona blue (2)
    Brush - synthetic trader joes
    Soap - trader joes
Post shave - neutrogena balm, witch hazel
    Cologne - Pinaud citrus musk
Now I did start this regiment yesterday. And i got a really good smooth shave. Not bbs, but it was good.
Today's shave was with some irritation all over. I had weepers as well. I notice even before the shave that my skin was irritated already. I can tell when I was rubbing my face against the grain that I'd probably would be irritated. This sort of affected my technique. My attempt to minimize more irritation caused me to create the very thing I was trying to avoid. I may have to actually skip tomorrow in hopes of allowing myself to heal properly. I usually say that and then I don't end up doing it. So to sum it up, not a great shave.
Thanks for reading and happy shaving
